i need some description have to do it almost perfect...

what button will make the headings most precise?
is there a holding or pushing button?
can you control the keeper?
change the landingspot?
and what do they mean with "driven"?

I would like to know some tricks about the corners.

on defence if you hold q and arrow keys you push, it has only
worked on plays that don't involve running to the ball. it has only worked sometimes for me

On offence a and d do little fakeouts while running to the ball.

does anyone else know how to spin or jostle? do you hold d to head the ball harder? can you move the destination point? and what letters on the keyboard corresponds to the 123 above the players heads?

can you do short corners...I can't see a way of doing that??? I hope that ability is available in the full version.

may i know what the meaning of " driven"?
As i known, we can set the tactic before we going to pitch.
aren't you all see the management screenshot of "Set Piece" ?

There are 4 options to do it, but i dont know how to say them in english (i have the demo in spanish)

seems to me, that the123 is awd buttons, when you kick the ball, and i think that changes the destinationpoint

Every corner will go to you, the man you're marking/marking you or the keeper, the other players only come into play when the camera zooms out...

No you can't play a short corner.

driven is when the corner is played straight
in to the man you choose without a curve

fortunately this is not true - the ball can also miss everyone just like in real life

yeah it does miss sometimes, i've had it go to other players.

No you can't play a short corner.

Its obvious to us that you dont know what you are talking about, nothing in Fifa 2004 is scripted.
And corners, 50% of the corners I miss or they get intercepted by the other team, I only scored like 4-5 goals from corners in the past 2 weeks.

And you CAN take short corner, so please stop bull****in, its obvious that you are anti-fifa :rolleyes:

Aside from the fact that all games are scripted, how can you call a 4 choice selection of corners non-scripted?
I thought the corners were pretty cool at first but now they just don't feel right..you don't get the feeling that the ball can go anywhere. The jostling animations and runs for the ball are excellent, but 90% of the time it's only me or the CPU player that make it to the ball...it's like a weird little tekken mini-game or something.

Another thing why don't my defenders stay on the posts? I've had a few goals scored at the near post that my defender should have blocked, instead he's just wandered off.

How do I play a short pass from a corner? I can't...There isn't ever anyone to pass it to between the corner taker and the 18-yard box.
I don't like the corners, doesn't mean I hate the game.

Nothing in this game is scripted, the corner menu just lets you chose how you wanna kick the corner thats all, sometimes the ball flies past us all and goes out, sometimes all of the players miss and the ball goes out, I can kick the ball to ANY of my players, but sometimes the other team intercepts, I scored few goals from corners like a header, volley and a bicycle kick once.

from a bicycle? do you have any tips? just a quick walkthrough? i've only scored 1-2 goals with a corner.

Is it just me? or is camorenesi great at headers. I just scored a whole bunch of goals with him from corners. i gave it to him and he headed it in. maybe its his positioning, or ability to fake, does anyone know, or had the same experience?
you can select him by pressing D from a corner.

you didnt answer his question Skyline. How do you perform a short corner? you say you can do it, and pass to any of your players from the corner...so would you care to share just how because I, like Glory, havent been able to figure it out yet.

if you want to get technical, every game is scripted. they're all programmed thus giving only a certain amount of options.

so saying it's scripted is bollox. it's programmed, yes, but not scripted.

i almost scored one like that, but davids blasted it over the crossbar, lol btw nice goal

Scripted is prolly the wrong term, but it seems like there is a script the corners follow :confused: .

What I mean is the corners don't feel random, most of the time you know the ball is going to go to one of 3 players, you, cpu opposite you or the keeper...very rarely does the ball pass straight through. Never have more than 2 player gone for the ball, which blows. With the jostling animations they have they could have some excellent corners with a bunch of players attacking the ball, where anything could happen.

All they need is a bit more random movement of the ball (have to wait and see if crappier players have corners as accurate as these), other players going for the ball and short passes and it would much better.

if there were more players, would that make it any less random?

it's still going to goto one of the available players :p
