View Full Version : The most cruel game you ever watched...
Fernandez 19-10-2003, 09:18:PM i just watched leicester v tottenham.... leicester took the lead and dominated till this mabizula (who?!!!?) came in.. he scored a cracker to equalise.... then at the stroke of RT, dalmat hit the post and kanou score from the rebound.... really cruel for leicester they dominate and deserved three points... anyway... great work by pleat, he brought on dalmat, zamora and mabizela who were involved in spurs goals.....
what other cruel matches you watched?
soccerbest 19-10-2003, 09:23:PM Yep, Spurs have been out played for so long and at half time only had 1 attempt on goal with liecesters 12?
And again in the 2nd half doing nothing untill a sub taking rickets off and putting this new kid on and bam quality shows 2-1 ft to spurs
schmeichel01 19-10-2003, 09:27:PM cruelest ever for bayern fans was the 1999 UCL Final.... imagine that....
Hendrik 19-10-2003, 09:29:PM yeah :(
Fernandez 19-10-2003, 09:31:PM and for valencia fans the 2001 CL Final... coz they been there for the second succesive season....
Dream Team 19-10-2003, 09:33:PM maybe the second CL final of Valencia lost in 2 years
Blanco150 19-10-2003, 09:42:PM :( The cruelest $h!+ that is happening right now is that my team (SEE BELOW) Is not doing so well. We are losing many important games and we are disqualifying ourselves form the playoffs. It hurt it really frk'n hurts. And the CRUELEST crap that has ever happened was when PUMAS humiliated us by scoring 7 goals on us that is cruel!:f***:
Fernandez 19-10-2003, 09:45:PM bit off topic but why is everyone having audiomatch.net on their sigs?

Hey SEVILLA fan? This is off the topic but I wanted to ask you What's up with GERARDO TORRADO? Has he been training with the team or what's up let me know. And about the Spain S. Kor.
That game was bullcrap. Spain was supposed to win that game but the REFS (SEE MY NEW THREAD) were up to no good there. The whole world saw that that was not offsides or the ball did not go out of the line.:f***:
-William- 19-10-2003, 10:09:PM Well Torrado is getting the Spanish Passport so he can play the 2nd Round of La Liga (from December-May?) also he was injured, but anyway everyone in Sevilla wants to see one of the best Def.Midfielders in the world playing again! :D And today is the Sevilla derby, Sevilla vs. Betis :mrpimp:

That's cool man. Hope to see him play soon. We'll need him for qualifying. :)
The cruelest match I ever saw was in World Cup '98. We were beating Germany 1-0 and had the game under control. Jesus Arellano misses an easy opportunity to make it 2-0. Before you know it, Germany score twice and win to move on into the quarterfinals. :(
numer20 19-10-2003, 10:46:PM The first goal in Leicester-Tottenham was... well:nape:
It has been a bad weekend for keepers. Except Howard, he had nothing to do.
Punkt 19-10-2003, 11:21:PM Germany 1-1 Portugal - World Cup 98 Qualifying
Portugal needed a win in Berlin and have played one of the most brilliant games i ever saw in portuguese NT.
In the second half with portugal in the lead 0-1, artur jorge (portuguese coach) wanted to sub rui costa for conceição. when rui costa was walked to be substituted, the ref (the french Marc Batta) sent off him with a second yellow card... the football rules don't say that a player needs to run in this situation... one of the most impressive images i've ever saw in football...rui costa crying out of the field... :kader: :kader:

We get a goal disallowed and simone dives like a little crybaby. We got the cheating bastards back in WC2002 though :rockman:
Also, Liverpool matches always seem to break my heart unless they win. :(

BTW, the 1999 Champions League final is definitely one of the cruelest twists in football history. It must have really sucked for Bayern fans.

I dont know why the hell do refs always pick on us for stupid things. Its becoming a rule not an exception.
Voltaic Borusse 20-10-2003, 05:33:AM USA/Germany 0-1 :(
It was a very cold summer day, and no one seemed to give a ****.

Voltaic Borusse 20-10-2003, 07:45:AM The general atmosphere of that game was out of this world.
Man United vs Bayern.
They played better for 90minutes and still lost.
-William- 20-10-2003, 08:13:AM really it has to be the Bayern vs. Man U game, then the Spain vs. South Korea (they stold us more than Italy), followed by Italy vs. S.Korea and then Valencia losing in pks to Bayern
indeed, bayern vs man utd in 99 :(
Sanel 20-10-2003, 09:20:AM Friday night, I pray to god that he gives my team all the luck tomorow to win and go to Portugal and I go to sleep thinking what I would do if we won, not thinking about us losing... Its tomorow, Saturday morning 10:00 am, where I call my boss and tell him I will be 2 hours late cuz I have to watch the game, no way I would miss it even if it means getting fired. Me and three other of my boys get togheter at my place to watch the game between  BOSNIA  and Denmark. We are all nervous and so excited at the same time, almost 100% sure that we will win and secure a place in Portugal. The game starts and in the 12th minute the Danes score, total chaos in my house, we are all yelling and mad we dont know what to do especialy me where I hit the wall and left a hole in there. Its reaching half time and we get a corner kick and Elvir Bolic scores for us and we are all happy again now, praying that half time would come and reorganize for the second half... Between 45-75 both sides had the equal percentage of the ball posession... while in the last 10 minuts we dominated and had chances to score, but unfortunately did not. The referee shows us there are two minuts added and we are up on our feet so nervous and hoping for a goal, and then he blows the whistle :( . We were quiet for about five minuts, no one said a word, and then when I realized we had just lost our spot in Portugal, I started to cry  . This was the saddest moment ever... I hope it never happens again cuz I hate that feeling. :-puke: Denmark... (I am just playing around, dont get offended, I am still mad!)
VanTheMan 20-10-2003, 04:13:PM any arsenal game.

Fernandez 20-10-2003, 04:54:PM arsenal 3 - 1 west ham... west ham had managed to fend off arsenal...
arsenal opened the scorin' from the spot which was earned by none other than a famous number 7 dive which saw lomas sent off.... west ham equalised before the break.... west ham managed to fend off arsenal until the bergkamp incident... he smacked bowyer and referee must thought I DEAN SEE IT(guess which referee).... arsenal added a third which should stand and not like the other two...

what are you talking about? totti was the only player given a red for italy, and it was portugal who had 2 players sent off, not spain.
bmpv666 21-10-2003, 04:09:AM euro 2000 semi-final Portugal - France...imagine your team beeing eliminated on a semi-final with golden-goal scored from a penalty... how cruel can it get?

man i knew you were gonna go that route. hey, i'll admit, the refs made some bad calls in the spain match. i've said that all along. but the fact of the matter is, neither spain or italy should have been in a compromising situation like that.
-William- 21-10-2003, 05:33:AM no prob :p
taxman 21-10-2003, 06:11:AM Moreirense 1-0 Sporting, this season.
A penalty not awarded to Sporting in the 92nd minute, then the counter-attack, the Moreirense player makes a foul on a Sporting player, crosses the ball, and... goal!
That was cruel!
monkee 21-10-2003, 01:55:PM For an opposing team it has to be the 1999 CL Final. I can remember Matthaus sort of starting to celebrate just before Man Utd scored their first on the stroke of 90mins. Bayern had played okay, better than United on the day and had hit the post. Then in went the first, followed a minute later by the second. Kuffour was hunched over on his knees punching the floor, you could see the shock and extreme disappointment in the eyes of the Bayern players and supporters. :D
Leverkusen had a cruel twist 2yrs ago, although it wasn't a match. Within a game of winning their league, in the final of the German Cup and the CL and they won nothing. Nothing at all.
Andrew 21-10-2003, 02:02:PM Yer i have the Man Utd treble video from 99 and i was watching the final. All the bayern players are smiling thinking theya re winning it and withing a few minutes it goes from happy to sad
