I know this is not a pes3 thread or website, but to all u true soccer fans, you MUST try the PES3 demo, funny thing is that its 243 mb and its just a demo. Well neway i dont wanna bash on fifa 2004 or trying to, but if u compare both demos, you will definitely see a difference of TRUE hard work and qualitythat was put into it. PES3 needs a great superb pc but in return u will actually get great awsome graphics. Just try it out and see what u think. PE@CE

use edonkey2000 or overnet

www.overnet.com

search for pro evolution soccer 3 demo

it's 217 MB, which is the standard size for most demos.

You can find the DL links at the PES forum. Give it a try. Note to FIFA gamers who is on the first time playin` PES : it will be kinda difficult for you to score for some first try, but once you get the hang of it, your thumbs and fingers will adapt by itself.

PES3 will not be the best on PC since it is console portation...
I like PES3 - soccer by Konami looks much more like real soccer, than soccer from EA does. Konami is really unattainable in gameplay for EA, but... You know, for me it's like compare Windows OS and, for example, some of the Unix OS - although everybody knows, that Microsoft Windows has a lot of bugs and not perfect in comparison with stable Unix, almost everybody uses Windows, just because it is good-looking and easy-using...
So I prefer FIFA Soccer too...

I tried the Demo...Excellent Graphics and Gameplay..GR8 Job Konami..but why the hell does the game suddenly slow down in the center of the field or in the 6 yard box??This is very irritating..I have no idea why does this happen..other than that the gameplay is awesome!!!!!:)

In the PES/WE/ISS forum people discussed this slowdown.
Konami made a game which is quite demanding for your computer, so you may take a look overthere and see the solutions.
This topic is very interesting for your problem:

Some people who downloaded PES have too light computer-specs like me, because I have an old Geforce 2 mx 400 card with only 64 Mb video RAM, but lucky enough for me I have already PES 3 for th PS2 :). I will buy a card with 128 MB video RAM, but maybe you can have some useful info at the first link in particular :).

Your processor and RAM are no problems, but I suspect that your 64 MB Video RAM is a bit to few.
Follow the links in my previous post to see if you can still improve on it....

:D

Well, I've played both the FIFA 2004 and the PES 3 demos for PC..... and there's only 1 conclusion...... PES 3 wins hands down!!!

They are only demo versions, and there are a few things to fix before final release. For PES 3 the ball sound is too loud, too unrealistic. I experienced slow down as well in the demo. But just try turning antialiasing off for your graphics card. This cured the problem completely for me. PES 3 demo runs silky smooth at maxed out settings on these specs:

ATHLON XP2600+, ASUS A7N8X Deluxe v.2.0, 1.0 Mb PC 3200 RAM, GForce 4 Ti4600 128 Mb.

The game speed in PES 3 demo is too fast though. They look like they are on drugs zipping about everywhere! This will surely be toned down a tad in the final release. Also, I use a USB converter so I can use a Playstation 2 gamepad. The buttons are all mixed up in the demo, but you can easily change them.

The demo is quite fleshed out too.... you can play a full game, on any of the 5* settings, and choose from England, Germany, Spain or Italy. Much better than 45 mins. of Juve v Inter!

There is much more variety of goals in PES 3 too. So many different ways of scoring compared to FIFA.

could you please explain me where & how can I turn off antialiasing for my graphic card

Im not very good with computers cause I always preffered playing soccer out or in my local club instead of learning or sitting home...

but right now Im injured and wanna score some goals virtually:D

and I Pes3 is the best thing next to real soccer (H)

OK.... you cannot turn off antialiasing in the demo. It has to be done direct with your grahics card. Which card do you have? If it's a GForce like mine then you should be able to get a program called "aTuner" which unlocks the settings in your card.

I downloaded it from the net. I'm not a computer geek, but I think the settings are originally set to "off" anyway. But I'd changed them prior to installing the PES 3 demo, so that's why I got slowdown.

Sorry.... just saw system specs above. Your graphics card may be a bit out of date. Mine is not cutting edge either, but it can handle a lot of todays games at full settings. Won't last for much longer though!

Been playing the PES 3 demo some more..... and the referees need to be looked at, especially with regards to the sliding tackle. Many times I commit a foul, but it seems totally random as to what punishment the player gets. Sometimes just a free kick, some times a yellow, sometimes a straight red card. Even a red for midfielders in the opposition half!!

I just played a match between Germany and Italy..... I managed to get 5 German players sent off and the match was abandoned with a default 3-0 score to Italy (it was actually 2-0 at the time)

I liked the realism of the abandonment.... but once I had 3 players off, I deliberately went out to get the abandonment to see it it was put into the game. It is!!!

If the game is too fast, check out the PES/WE forum the way to fix the framerate.

This is actually the first time it has been in the game. Prior versions of Winning Eleven/PES just had the refs getting more and more lenient. I would play against a friend in WE6FE, only to have him get two or three players sent off. After that he could basically slide tackle with impunity - the ref never punished him - it wasn't possible to get more players sent off. Kinda dumb, but an interesting way to play the game - just avoiding viscious slide tackles everywhere - lots of laughs, but frustrating. ;)

You might want to check out some of the other threads in this forum regarding FIFA vs PES3 graphics - it is a common myth that FIFA graphics > PES graphics. As far as I am concerned, PES3's animations and graphics are far superior to those of FIFA. Anyway, I'm sure you've already bought FIFA, so I hope you enjoy your game, and maybe sometime in the future you can try the brilliance that is PES3. :D

PFFFT....Dinamo just lost to Hajduk 3-1 in Split, and go into the break second in the HNL. But they've just signed Strupar and Kranjcar is the best player we've seen for years...

Who cares, Croatia is in Portugal... :)
