View Full Version : Make the ball heavier ?

Hi there,

Got the FIFA 2004 demo recently and I thought EA would have *FINALLY* corrected this but...the ball is always so light ! I mean, it's always so easy for the GK to make a 50-meter shot without any effort, and when you try to pass the ball to one of your player, you're sure that this player will get it easily, if you don't roughly press on the pass button.

Another problem, when a player like Del Piero shoots, the ball flyes as if this competition ball had become in a second a foam ball...The theorical physical movement of the ball is absolutely crazy in some cases !

I tried the PES 3 demo today, and the ball is far more difficult to control, which makes the challenge hardier and so, funnier.

Then my question is :

Is there a way to change the "attributes" of the ball in the final version ? Or can we modify things in some ini files or sthing like that ?

Thanks at advance.

the ball gravity can be changed by fiddling with the aicpu.big in 2003 so i guess it will be editable in 2004 also.....

well the GK being able to hold onto a shot from 50 yards out wouldnt have anything to do with the weight of the ball, but the power of the shot, so unlike FIFA2003, in FIFA2004 if Ronaldo shoots from 50 yards out it will be a lot harder for the GK to save than if some youth player from a div 3 english team shot it from 50 yards out. So you see it has to do with how much power you put on the shot AND how strong the players "shot power" attribute is

and also in real life, goal keepers DO kick 50 metres from a goal kick
