A shame it's a Japanese game, but at least we know EA can do better than they are doing now.EA is bringing out a football game in Japan called FIFA "Soccer World Championship 2000" for the PS2..Look at the great screenshots at http://ps2.ign.com/news/18332.html
The game is GREAT!!the game even has people behind the addboards like ballboy's and security.
The fields look good, the players look realistic, stadiums are fantastic!!A shame it's for PS2,I think I'll get me a PS2 when it comes out here!!

That game is going to come out in the US when the PS2 comes out.
The pitch does look bigger and the people on the sideline are a good sign that the game will have some of the things we have been asking for.
I wonder what the difference is between it and FIFA2001.

that face picture of nakata is uncanny. the faces in the fifa game look better but i still think the body models of jikkyou world soccer look better. from the fifa soccer screen shots, it still looks like they're using the same running and one hand pushing animations as in fifa 2000. they didn't look great in fifa 2000 so they won't look good in this new game either.
I still give the upper hand to jikkyou world soccer. ea have a long way to go to make a better game than the ISS team.

Check out their quotes:
"The first is that the PC FIFA series is fantastic" - typical....
"This title looks much better than Konami's PS2 offering. " - sums up how most of the reviewers approach soccer games - looks first, "errm well it looks good, and I don't know anything about soooccceerrr, so I'll give it a good review"
Looks very pretty, but like rob, I'm more excited about the Konami game
ONE LAST THING - the article also reveals that this game is also a PORT OF THE PC VERSION! So....while it'll look great, it'll still (IMO) play like a dog...
