This is the first PES for me (Don't have a PS2, so I had to play FIFA for all those damn years). Hell, I am so happy about this game, its the closest thing to real football.

Its not really a suprise that the game is good. I have been playing soccer for a long time. Konami actually made some good footies on Super Nintendo. Anyone here remember the kickass Perfect Eleven (1993, 16mb), and Fighting Eleven (1994, 24mb)????????

Back then those two games are the best, but only for the japanese. The graphics was excellent. You can see the pony tail at the back of Roberto Baggio's head. Around same time, you could also play FIFA 94, which contained nasty graphics, 100% goal from free kick spots, and retarded AI.

But anyways, PES is great. Compare to Fifa, its way better.

Konami have been the best from Day 1.

Only games I liked from Konami are the Metal Gear Solid games and the Castlevania games.

Perfect 11 was an awesome game at that time!

Perfect 11 is by KCEO though..

Also keep in mind that Perfect 11 is the very FIRST GAME with commentary. Back then sports games are only 4mb (ones from EA), with extremly crappy graphics.
