PaPaGeorGeo 25-10-2003, 09:53:AM Well Jesus will do fine then
Bobby 25-10-2003, 09:53:AM Dear Mr. Bill Gates.
Arsenal football club is a fine team in deep crap with money, if you would be so kind as to buy the team and buy top class players that would be wonderful, thank you.
-Arsenal Fans
IceBlu 25-10-2003, 09:56:AM this is the best time for a bigger club to pry out Henry .... 50 mil - Arsenal won't refuse the offer.
KoreaJjang 25-10-2003, 09:57:AM Why doesn't Arsenal have MONEY!!!GOD DAMN!!!

Hmm if we sold Henry now would fix up the club long term and short term the only thing is. The Fans and the Players would Riot.
Also that would leave a very big hole in our team to fix up
Bobby 25-10-2003, 10:04:AM Henry is the last player Arsenal would sell.
the should sell Pires to Us
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH:mrpimp:
I would of said the same thing about Beckham.
PaPaGeorGeo 25-10-2003, 10:11:AM Yeh well Henry and Wengers relastionship is quite the opposite of Fergie and Beckham
bjmenge 25-10-2003, 10:56:AM Henry isn't going anywhere. Period.
Fernandez 25-10-2003, 11:55:AM where are ya gonna get transfer funds? nike?
Amika 25-10-2003, 11:58:AM there won't be any transfer funds available until they sort out their new stadium financing..

Fernandez 25-10-2003, 12:32:PM arsenal should have spent their funds on players, who will win them silverware which will provide funds for the new stadium...

how much did the stadium cost? what i meant was that they should spend their funds for the stadium on players like trezeguet, boumsong or radet....

why would they want to do that? i'm sure they will be fine for another season.. and i think with the players they have now they are more than capable of winning the title again...
Fernandez 25-10-2003, 01:10:PM i guess i have to agree with you for once.... but with no disrespect to arsenal fans, does arsenal have to pay nike compensation if arsenal change kit sponsors during the duration of the contract between nike and arsenal?
Jedi Mind Trick 25-10-2003, 01:11:PM i'm pretty sure they'd have to. it would be a breach of contract. didn't nike fork up a lot of cash to arsenal anyways? don't see why arsenal would wanna change.

What does that have to do with the price of eggs in china
finger 25-10-2003, 06:18:PM Everything.
::Jason:: 25-10-2003, 07:14:PM Itīs a wise move from Arsenal not selling any key players, nor buying any. They should sell some useless players like Kanu - just if some team would buy them..

That's good.
I don't like situations like Chelsea, when a rich man buys a club just for fun or to wash some dirty money.
why it was so urgent to move to new stadium? and how long before arsenal can buy great players again?
mhflierman 25-10-2003, 07:51:PM I read in the dutch press that Arsenal may sign Kluivert on a loan.
Oh and why don't Arsenal have cash? New stadium, overpaid players, greedy sponsors and no income from champions league becasue they are always out after the second round. :p
champdave 25-10-2003, 08:19:PM On "Football Focus" today Thierry Henry stated that he is a "Gooner (with French accent)" and he is not moving anywhere.
Frostwolf 25-10-2003, 08:20:PM That would explain is exuberant badge-pointing after he scored the winner against blue cun.ts.

well that's just inaccurate.
Arsenal received the fifth or thereabouts highest income from the CL last year, even more than ManU.
Arsenal players are hardly overpaid, only Vieria and Campbell get the big moolah, and Campbell gets his because there was no transfer fee, and Vieria is just Vieria.
The stadium is financed, so technically it does not consume the transfer budget.
And considering Arsenal's not the greatest of internationally marketed teams, the sponsors have been more than generous.
Bummy_JaB 25-10-2003, 11:21:PM They should just sell kanu if they are not gonna use him much. Kanu showed he still has it after playin against chelsea.

the only really overpaid player on that team is kanu. i believe henry makes about 50,000 pounds a week, which is half of what he can make somewhere else. pires is underpaid, and campbell and vieira are the only big makers on that team, but if anything they're worth it. and vieira can easily still make more for real madrid.

U have a point there fernandez but arsnal have good enough players and they could also get lots of money when fans come in to their new stadium because anfield has about 30,000 seats and if they get a new stadium which has about 60,000 seats lets say and there is a full house for most of the matches then arsenal could get double the money as anfield :)
