saw mikey at melwood..he's up and running but he didnt participate in any 5-a-sides or even touched the ball. he wont play. flo po might get his league first start. murphy should be back in the side, if on the bench. cheyrou suffered a broken toe after the reserve game so he is still out. good news is didi hamann is scheduled to play the next reserve game so he could be back soon. baros and carra doing great in their rehab. diao is still suspended.

Wrong.
We got 3million, the pus bucket agent of his got 2million out of the deal...
The only thing that the board did wrong was not try to get him signed on a new deal 18months before his ran out, it should be standard practice but they let themselves be hung out for the sharks by Harry and his agent. He was free to move, and that is not the bone of contention, it is the manner in which he and his agent conspired to rip the club that gave him so much off, right when they needed funds the most.
I can never forgive him for that, he must shoulder the blame even though his agent worked the deal, it is his choice to be involved or not. I hope for his sake it was more the case that he left it all to d'amico. That excuses him in no way however.
He is Judas and always will be.

3 millions is better then you lost him for free.. like we did on mcmanaman.. and i won't be calling him judas for that as i respect his decision...

Yes any money is better than none but for a player who would have easily fetched 15-20mil normally i think i have a right not to feel consoled with statements like that.
I continue to support my country but my club is very dear to me and he has a lot of making up to do. Getting us to the World Cup would be a good place to start.

Kewell: Leeds fans understand why I left

Harry Kewell will be a target for the Leeds boo-boys when he faces his former club at Anfield today but the Aussie ace insists most supporters understand why he chose to leave.

The Liverpool midfielder was dubbed 'greedy' by Leeds chairman Professor John McKenzie when he chose to join the club he grew up supporting but Kewell insists the criticism didn't faze him.

"To be honest I just ignored it, and I reckon that the Leeds fans know what really went on," he says. "I think everyone realised that the picture Leeds were trying to paint of me was rubbish. Leeds fans know exactly why I left. Every single person who comes up to me knows the real reason. If I am walking around the shops, at the garage or wherever, they all ask how Liverpool are treating me and how I am getting on. They all say that they know why I left. I have no problems in Leeds at all.

"The position Leeds are now in does make me feel a bit sad because I have some great friends there. But they are grown men and everyone has got to fight. I had a great time at Leeds but my job now is to play for Liverpool and help this club win honours. I want to win everything. Any footballer will tell you the same - the money's great but you want to look back and see all the trophies you have won.

"I have none at the moment and that is why I am determined to start filling the trophy cabinet up. Sure, we haven't had the best start but we are playing decent football and really do believe it is a matter of time. If I was a fan and saw the team creating chances but missing them, seeing them hit the bar or whatever, I would still find it exciting. I would be disappointed if they were not creating them in the first place, but we are."

damn.
Well it was always going to be hard. Liverpool with their backs against the wall in the title race, at home. its a pity because we fought our way back into the game then luck went against us again...bull**** handball, unlucky robbo...**** happens.
But we lost it fair and square. We gave a good account of ourselves and will get results soon enough.
Well done 'Pool on the win. Well done ladz on the effort.

i watch the game live... like i said pennant is class... he is the one that is creating all the damage and everytime he has the ball my heart stop... his pass that set up smith for the equalise was 1st class... others.. hmmm.. matteo is the one that gave Pongolle his first goal as his back header go straight to Pongolle who scored... the 2nd goal as you know is a blunder by robinson.. there rest of the team.. hmmm nothing much.. viduka was like missing throughout the whole game except of the shot he made..... batty as usual battle all out and cover a lot of the pitch...

about time that we get the rub of the green (Y)
very entertaining open game though anfield was generally quiet leading up the mikey's opening goal. yep, his inclusion surprised just about everyone watching as he had not had any full training whatsoever ever since that injury against arsenal. gerrard was magnificient as i thought was typical of the whole team. we played some fantastic footie and i must say that heskey deserved credit for a much more rugged and aggressive display (despite not scoring and taking some tumbles..which is par for the course for emily) heheh..again marvellous to see spud getting back in the side and of course for that 'goal'. did well to get it on target i must say :D dioufy should have scored although he was my man of the match, switched wings at will and bamboozled just about every opposition player he came up against..and deffo much improvement in his delivery. it'd be nice once he weighs in with a few goals though as the midfield has been pretty lightweight in that respect. dun forget dudek who kept his concentration to keep out that viduka effort for things could very well have been different had that gone in. did ya catch that kewell stepover over at the leeds side of the ground before he sent that cross in? (H) its not so much the quantity but the application crissy ronnie :hello:
