I'm having problems executing two moves on the xbox, both which require the black button. The moves are on pages 6 and 7 in the manual. First one is the 1-2. Second is the 'Player runs' when using off the ball. I particularly want to get the player runs working so can do some nice through balls.
Anyone had any luck with these moves? If so, any tips to get them working? Also, which controller do you have. I'm getting paranoid that it''s because i have the old style controller (although thats pretty stupid i suppose).

What I think you have to do is press A (to pass) then black quickly to make your first player continue running, then press A (and direction) to pass back to him.

All the black does is make the player continue running, and not stop still like they play for Sunderland ;)
