View Full Version : LOL and you say PES3 is realistic

I was playing the PC demo yesterday as Italy on the highest difficulty saying... Camoranesi had the ball on the right wing just past the halfway line (about 45-50 yards from the goal).. i hit the shot button by mistake and guess what... goal! it was a weak shot as well.. David James didn't make any attempt to get the ball.. just stood there watching.. that never happened to me in fifa 2004.

and btw... I played the first game when i downloaded the demo on the highest difficulty setting and scored 3 goals (i'm already used to the controls as i played most previous PES/WE versions)... but in FIFA i'm still struggling and still can't manage to score more than 1-2 goals per game if i'm lucky (knowing that i've been playing the FIFA demo much more than the PES3 demo)..

yes the game does feel smoother than FIFA but it's just way too easy to dribble and i'm almost 100% certain to score once inside the penalty box.. where's the realism in that?
well.. back to my FIFA 2004 demo then.. thanks for your time :)

at least that's a better way of putting it than "you don't know **** about football"... :)

btw it wasn't just an opinion... it's a FACT that i scored with Camoranesi from 50 yards away and goalie did nothing about it mwahaha

Try to do it again...... and we'll see.... ;) Sometimes in real football there are lucky goals like it.... so it's realistic like you say :) But if you want to play fifa it's your problem but you miss something exceptionel.... in my opinion :)

You need to play it for at least an hour to find out why does it rule

well, what else to say? you've obiously made your final decision... so why waste time to argue and kick off yet another flame-ridden PES vs. FIFA thread.

I know what you mean.. i still remember that Seedorf goal in 1997 I think and i think it's one of the best goals i ever saw...
but in my case.. the shot was soooo weak and the goalie didn't even attempt to save.. unlike Seedorf's shot which must've been travelling at about 300 mph :crazyboy:

yea i know PES is exceptionnal.. i've played it the previous versions a LOT and enjoyed them..

but.. this time FIFA 2004 is just too seducing (and NOT because all i care about is beckham's fingernails.. i'm a hardcore football fan myself)

i'll stop arguing about it when PES fans stop labelling their game as "only for true hardcore football fans" and that everyone who doesn't like it "knows **** about football"

Never had it happen to me on any PES, had comical goals from mistakes but never scored from halfway. I found it a lot, lot, lot, etc, easier to score in any FIFA, from most anywhere on the pitch. I've not played FIFA 2004 though. :)

lol some people are so dumb and dont realise this demo is an EARLY version of the game, hence the white ball!
There was a beta version and demo released for PES3 on the PS2 and they were early versions of the game and it was improved A LOT by final release.

having played both the Fifa 2004 and PES3 demos extensively over the last few days, i have to say that it is probably easier to score in fifa. For some reason, their is certain periods in fifa, were you can basically shoot from outside the area and score almost every time, even with shots that the goaly should have saved!

They are both very good games, both have many positive and negative points.

I think that if you merged them both together, you would probably have the ultimate football game.............................................. .................................................. ...............Fifa Pro Evolution Soccer 2004...................how about that:wootman:

p.s....Dannyboy, that soliano volley is sweet :D

Just answer this : how many left footed players in real life becomes right footers in FIFA ? Too many . . .

probably the same as when the pes fanboys start the same kind of thread on the fifa forum...

actually don't even bother with that...just p*ss off!! lol

I played both Fifa2004 demo and PES 3 demo...

And with Fifa if you shoot from certain points outside the area...you guranteed its either gonna be saved or its definately gonna go in. AI defending in Fifa is horrible as ever. With PES taking a shot at goal it can never be predicted what may happen....this is not a game flaw but better coding.

I can't believe u found Fifa2004 difficult and PES easy....I could not be beat at World Class level on Fifa...
