Is it only me who seems to think that fifa 2000 is really not that good and not a patch on '99. I really can't understand why no-one seems to have mentioned the strange cartoon like figures with mis-proportioned heads (who the hell is that pretending to be Lucas Radebe of Leeds United, it looks like the boxer in the new snickers ad.) the un-atmospheric stadium(s). It just doesn't feel as authentic as '99 to play, although the actual gameplay seems quicker and much more responsive though.
Is there really only one stadium?
After fifa 99 this game is a real let down, does anyone else agree?

u must have posted same time as i did about fifa2000 being a bit disappointing compared to Fifa99. I agree with your comments about the player models and the unrealistic speed. Fifa99 was just more realistic than fifa2000 i think. If only I could rip out the AI from Fifa2000 and put it into the fifa99 engine...hmmmm might give it a go I think...

Im only playing the psx version and Fifa 99 on the psx was a sad joke of a game, it wasnt soccer it was high speed ping pong. On proffesional level fifa 2000 is much better in that respect but on world class level agains degenerates into a high speed button thrash.

I agree with you 100%...it really is a poor sequel to 99..I played Uefa Striker on the PSX and I must say I was impressed, the player intellegence is amazing and there is so much variety in every aspect of the game.
Anyways Fifa 2000 just sucks compared to this game, I think I'll throw my copy out the window!

I thought I was the only one who liked Fifa 99's graphs and sounds better than Fifa 2k's. Turns out I was wrong. I completely agree with the remark about putting the 2k AI in Fifa 99.

what would make a better FIFA series game:
FIFA2k graphs + '99 speech + AI something like a cross between '99 and 2k, balanced and reasonable (none of the two was good on its own, but combining the best of them...)
