ok, my first fifa 2004 attempt. it's an update of EA's poor try on Hannover 96 forward Thomas Christiansen (the best scorer of last years Bundesliga)
I know it's not that good by now, but since EA's one has no likeness at all...

Well EA's is poor. U should uvmap the texture better tho. Maybe just take the EA texture and add facial hair. ;)

I use ACDSee to create textures but any other good picture/paint prog should do it too
btw. I don't use oedit, I just can't handle it. I'm looking for a headshape that could possibly match the player I want to create and start from that texture on.
As you can see in my faces: that's not the best way to do it, but for me it works - I get some results and imo my faces still look better than a generic face (especially this year since all the generic players look the same)

You should search in the FIFA 2003 forum, I think flipgar did a good face tutorial, so get to know the basics...

hi fellas, I wonder if you could help me out. I having problems with this face for stuttgart midfielder Christian Tiffert I'm trying on. In oedit the hair looks good and everything's alright, but ingame the blonde thing is blurry or clipping. anybody have a idea why this happens and how to fix it?

I think this year you need to compress the files after importing and I don't know if you're able to do that with eagraph. with biggui it's pretty easy. search for the "face-import-into-the-demo-thread" by the don.

On Gorlitz's face texture, get rid of the teeth, but other than that, I think it's perfect.

I think you only have to make Bobic's eyes look more like slits, he has really small eyes. Then it'll look good!

@daz: I might try Neville next year, but I won't promise anything cause I mainly want to make Bundesliga faces and there are so many faces I want to make before.

Some of the faces presented in this thread do not look too great ingame, so they're not in the first facepacks.
I need to work on Tiffert's hair for example. But I'll release definitely more in the next weeks.
As I said before: I only edit textures and "borrow" the 3D-files from our mate Electronic Arts. That's why I'm not able to do every face I want to do. I'm limited in some way and very much depend on a good picture...
But I've already done 2 new faces:
Here's VfL Bochum defender Frank Fahrenhorst. He'll be going to Werder Bremen next season and is not too far away from making his way to the German national team.

this one is Bosnia's and Hamburg's forward Sergej Barbarez. I'd say, I've never done a face so realistic before, but the hair is still bothering me a bit. I'll work on that but I'm not sure that I can make it any better cause this year's hairs just suck in general...

anyway, you'll see there'll be some more faces from me in the future, thanx for the support and of cause

I took the shots during a night game, so that's just the normal "FIFA's messing up the textures with the damn light effects" thing. But maybe i'll make it just a lil bit darker.

Fix the hair of F.F. (on the side a bit higher like on the real pic) but the face looks really good!

Barbarez head is perfect, make texture a bit darker!!

About the light thing: If you compare the Fahrenhorst and the Barbarez texture you'll see that there's not too much difference. It depends much on the stadium and the time you play, wether the face will look OK or too much lightend. It's the same thing with the original faces. But I'll make a more darker version.

Naw don't darken the texture coz u're right it's because of the night game. If u make the color darker then he'll look brown in day games ;)

I just made it a lil bit darker. It has a good effect imo. I also did some work on the hairtexture. now it looks more realistic, especially from a distance. think this is gonna be final.

about Tiffert: I been trying on that face again the last days. It wasn't released yet cause I wouzldn't regard it as great. In fact it pretty much sux because of the hair. I think I got his expression with the face-texture but I won't be able too fix that hair prob.
So here are two different versions. Probably you could tell me which one's better.
First one, the hair is...I don't know, it just looks wrong.
The second one the hair is too long, but I'd probably go for that version...

btw. I think there'll be a Bundesliga-Face-Patch soon, including my recent pieces as well as the latest works of King Bob, FP23 and other german patchmakers. So watch out...

Take version 1! It has way more Tiffert-expression than too! Just work on the hair on version 1 at it'll become perfect!

I really like the in game pics! Don't know which version you've used for them, two? Take this version, it's great! Just make the bright stripe over the whole head (also über die ganze länge des kopfes, da "fehlt" in der mitte ein teil, oder?) ;)

Maybe the face impression on "version 1" is slightly better but somehow it just doesn't look right imho, can't quite explain it. Since Linpa likes the "version 1" here's a quick ig-screen of that one

The shot's been done during a night game, so that's probably causing some strange effects. But as you can see on the texture there are no "light parts". At least I can't see them...

sorry no real madrid faces from me. btw. it's not easy for me to do requests cause I don't use oedit so everything else hast to fit and I'm not able to do every face i want propperly.
I'm also pretty fed up with this crappy game and it's circumstances...
