Hi Treebeared! I have a problem with the previous rosters,when I install them the commentary for all the team names gets choped off. Any patch to correct this??

I have never heard of this problem before - are you using the English version of the game ?

Yes, I am using the English Version. This only happens when there are changes made to the kits.

about the "choop off" with teams:

EA made a mistake- well they made a lot of them- If you use the team editor and change the kits or the kits colours, the commentary get's a nasty cut... just because the team is saved in a custom.db file in a way that when the game reads it is like you have renamed the team... EASports and their faulty products....

so whats ur advice if this happens what should i do coz it also happens to me help plzzzzz give me some advice thanx

how to bypass the "cut off name team " problem?

there's 3 ways:

a) find what pkxxx.fsh is related to your team (example pk005.fsh and pk.037.fsh are the preset blackburn rovers kits. So I downloaded their kits from fifa99,net I think, used jersey converter, renamed them pkoo5.fsh and pk037.fsh and pasted both on Fifa2000/data/player/textures and that solved the problem...)

b) don't change your kits...


C) Choose between the kits or commentary

and a last way is to force EA to release a corrective patch- and that's not hard to do since if you change a players face you don't loose Motson line about him- if Motson have a line there is- so EA shouldn't have any problems ...if they want of course- and EA normally isn't very generous...

does the rosters affect the commentary aswell?

and aswell i have the game cracked would that affect it?

if thy change thhe team data ( name, colour, kits etc ) yes... if they only change the players name or skills ... no, they don't make any "cut off"

can't really answer that- I was stupid enough to buy the original....

I think that a tool like Fed99- or some kind of editor able to read and write the *.dbi files- could iron out this problem. But I'm lacking the hope of ever beeing release one because Chau is out of the circulation and there's more people hating this game than playing it...

if i install boots does it affect it?
