I'm wondering if any of you guys bought the game already, (not ordered via web), but actually went into a store and got it...

Best buy doesn't have it, circuit city said tomorrow and I don't know if my gaming store in town has it, Blockbuster said it hasn't ordered, but the computer dates said the 7th, I'll go check it out...

If you guys can tell me if you have it already for PS2, XBOX or GCUBE that be great...

EASPORTS site says it's supposed to be out, but I haven't seen any store yet with the game...

Seems like you're SOL like the rest of us Americans.

All my local stores have said the same thing. Release date is 11/4, that's when it's shipped. So they'll have it available for sale early on Weds (Nov 5).

And I was hoping I could find at elast one store that would be getting it a day early.

Oh well, what's one additional day to wait? Especially when we can't change it.. ;>

The date on EA is the shipping date. And I can confirm that gamestop, eb, and others will have it tommorrow.

I called EB and Software Etc. They said tomorrow (Wednesday). I just know they have it in their stock, or will by 5 this afternoon, but owell.

Sorry guys, but the game is not shipped today, it is OUT today. As far as the EA website goes, it's a bunch of crap. NHL 2004 was in stores the exact day it said it would be, and I am sure other more important games are as well.

Someone should sue EA for fasle advertising on their website.

i dunno if its the same in the whole US but i called EB and they told me they get the game tonight but they wont sell it till tomorrow......ill be there once im outta class :rockman:

couldn't agree more with elder, I've gotten games before the same day they've alledgedly "shipped." Bet your bottom dollar if this was Madden it'd be out on the day listed on the site.

Exactly. I remember getting NHL 2004 and it was still in the box and they just brought it out. When I went to check at the store, they also said SOCOM or whatever that game is was also arriving late. So I think there is something going on with shipping.

Game Stop told me they had a lot of people reserve the game, and that they didnt know if they'd have any extra games. They told me it would be beter if i pre-ordered it.

Same news here in Michigan. Although I was told by Funcoland the game will arrive Wednesday, but the clerk also told me a major city like Detroit would have the game today.

thats BS cuz in WASHINGTON D.C. they haven't even heard of the game! Just joking! No seriously if in DETROIT it was out 2day, then in Washington D.C. it would have been out 2day too but it isn't! the dude at best buy told me they arrive thursday, circuit city girl looked at their list and it said today, but the game wasn't there, so she said either tomorrow or thurs.

my local gaming store, gamers said they usually get it a day later than best buy.

Just got off the phone with a guy at Gamestop. He says game is arriving at midday and will be on shelves this afternoon. I guess it will finally be time to find out if the has as many problems as everyone's been talking about.:)

Looking at EA's website... it says THEY shipped the game today. Stores should get it tomorrow or thursday, if their shipments arrive next day.

That's all I know so far. I sure wish some stores had them already in stock.

I called the Gamespot in Oxnard. That's the only place I tried. I think most places will probably get the game today. It's just whether or not they will decide and put it on the shelves for sale or wait until tomorrow.

I didnt buy it, I downloaded/had it since the 29th on last month ... yes the full version not the "German beta version", and the game itself is great, but the interfance is lame and pathetic therefore I aint buying this, I'll save my money for something else.

Talked to the guy at Gamespot at 10:00 am. He said it would be on the shelves by 2:oo pm. Showed up at 2:20pm and asked for the game. The geek behind the counter giggled and said,"My bad, it won't be out until tomorrow." The guy then asked me since I was here anyway, would I like to pay five bucks and reserve the game? I told him to bite me! Maybe I need to get a life rather than hanging around waiting for a dumb video game.

to tell you the truth guys, I don't even know if it's going to be in stores tomorrow. Maybe only Friday... who knows... EA is so disorganized, it's insane...:f***: :f***: :f***:

Yes I do have the game, and it's crap. Graphics are good, besides that, it's junk.

I already posted in another thread my thoughts, so I won't go into detail here. But menus suck, no option to configure controller buttons, gameplay sucks, ball physics suck, etc etc etc.

Great! I am getting it for PS2 and don't need to worry about configuring buttons. The menus of all games are usually terrible. The ball physics are something new they are doing this year so I can cut them some slack. What I can't cut them any slack on is that there is no snow!!

LOL. I really hope that was some sarcasm. I'd really be worring about more than if there is snow in the game. Leaving the ability to configure buttons out of any game, even if it's ps2, is simply criminal.

Yes, it was sarcasm, but I do like playing in the snow. It just adds that little touch of something extra. About the controls, it really isn't that big of a deal to me. Certainly not criminal.

I do have it, i've played 3-4 MLS games. I am #1 on your list there also, but I really wanted to like FIFA so I could play MLS. Just happens it's total crap this time around.

Well, it is when the controller you have doesn't work with the game. A few buttons on mine don't work, so I can't do thru passes, etc. Funny thing is, it works with every single other game I have.......no small oversight IMO.

Up your reading comprehension *dude*. I said exactly that buttons don't work on my controller. I have a Nyko air-flow, which is exactly like a ps2 controller, but the game for some reason doesn't recognize some buttons. Works great with every other game I have, but since stupid EA decided to hard code gamepads into the game, it doesn't work 100%. Check out the config.dat file in the /data/system dir in the game. In it's the list of controllers that work.......

Sigh...i give up. Learning new buttons wouldn't be a problem IF ALL THE BUTTONS WORKED! Imagine if instead of the thru-pass button not working, it was the shoot button? LOL, wonder how that would work?

rental video stores have received fifa 2004 today in canada, but are not gonna be out on the shelves until early tommorrow morning. I am assuming its same with the stores too. Cant wait till tmr morning, i wont even sleep tonite lol :)

btw guys i live in chicago and i went to the nearest gamestop and preorder my fifa 2004 they said it's out tomorrow and that they don't have it in stock today.so i wanted to tell everybody that the game is not out yet you have to wait a couple of hours before puttin your hands on it.:rockman:

If some buttons don't work, take the game back. Tell them the controller is fine, because it works with all other games except this one. I wouldn't stand for "buttons that don't work"... Be evasive for gods sake.

Guys, this is really dumb and stupid. I talked to Blockbuster today and it looks like no store here in the middle of nowhere Lincoln, NE will be purchasing FIFA for their stores, meaning I can't rent this damn game. This is completely stupid. The guy also said if they order, they'll order 1 copy and it is going to be in one store only...

I mean, what the hell is that? those japanes crapola games pokemon-style (being sarcastic) have multiple copies, but a truly amazing soccer franchise is just forgotten. THIS IS SO UNFAIR, what are they thinking.

I think the only other store that might have it would be hollywood video, but I doubt they would have if blockbuster doesn't. I don't know any other store here that rents games...

Man I went to the gamestop in the city I got to school at around 10:00 A.M., and they told me the game wouldn't be in until 1:00

I just came from my local EB and they don't have it yet.

Mine here in Columbus have it, they have it for PS2, Xbox, and haven't unpacked the version I need for the GC.

In Winnipeg, Best Buy said the game is coming on November 6th..........
i have to wait 2 more days..........:(

I need to start calling the Gamestops around my area. Both EB's local to me didn't get the PS2 version. Thye did get it for the PC, GBA, XBOX and Gamecube. But no PS2...

This is completely unreasonable, to the best of my knowledge, there are a total of three copies of FIFA for the GC in Columbus, OH, fortunately I'm allegedly being held one, I have to drive 45 minutes away to get it, but I should have it tonight.

after dealing with eb( got my refund because they received all other fifa 2004 platformers except ps2, so im like fock that)....called KB toys...so got mines...beeen playing 6 hrs non stop with my nephew...the co op mode is da bong ma nigguh... anywase...its a n excellent game...excellent for some near fke goals...gameplay was 90% improved from last verion...the speed is perfect this time... peace yall..talk to yall later...
