well heres some disappointing news. a feature i was really looking forward to has been taken out at the last moment. i know some of you won't care, but i do. and it was false advertising asa i bought the game believeing that the cpu would transer with other cpu controlled teams. this info was released today, a whole week after i received my copy of fifa2004. and nows it's too late to take it back to EB. so it's what we call in the legal world false advertising(and yes i study law)

taken from the fifa community website:

We've just found out the facts of this matter from the developers. Career Mode AI transfers had to be dropped from the game during the last stretch of development for technical reasons.

i don't see what has taking out cpu transfers gotta do with technical reasons..

if other EA Sports titles can do it, why can't they?

UR LUCKY U CUD TAKE URS BACK. i cant as i ordered it via amazon, so ive got it for life, a mistake. the games a real let down, for many reasons, but the CPU AI, the poor goalkeepers and the game is generally very limited with game modes. there are lots of other problems with this game

NOT false advertising. They only stated this in interviews etc. which can be subject to change.

They did NOT state it in the official FIFA2004 advert on TV or anywhere else, then you might have a point.

No AI transfers?? The "most complete and authentic football experience for true football fans" doesnt have any transfers other than your own? What kind of career mode is this?

Anyone been offered a job by another club yet or is that something else still on their "to do" list? I would not put it past them to make a career mode where you stay in the one dead end job for five years.

Well if you study law then you must be failing. Have you ever seen the "Card Subject To Change?" text?? No offense, but you're either a bad liar, a moron, or a very bad law student.

Like you'll actually play the career-mode. If you want tactics and management you play CM4, if you want the actual footy-action you play FIFA 2004.

Atlease for now. It would be awesome to combine games like CM4 (or in this case TCM 2004) and Fifa 2004. People have been wanting this for years, we talked about it around 2000 already.

It's weird that this takes time for EA.. maybe they want to make more money with two separate games, but then again, I can't imagine TCM is a cash-producing project.

My guess is (this might be confirmed already? I'm not sure..) that TCM and FIFA will be integrated sooner than later, simply for the reason that EA don't know what else to do with TCM.

In the future this might be great (if TCM actually gets better) but for now playing a five year careermode lacking the most essential parts of a management-game seems pointless.

Don't you think?

PS. Good lecture on false advertising Miss Mc Beal. Anyone with an ounce of commonsense knows that that's false advertising. Good luck trying to apply that to the gaming-industry.
