When I try to run Fed 2000, all it does is reinstall the program everytime! I thought that this was a strange problem. I did download the "essential" file: comctl32.dll, but it says that it can't overwrite the current file b/c windows is using the file. Is this the reason that the program just keeps running the installation program? Please help!

im not sayin your stupid or anything so dont take it as an offense but maybe your opening the wrong fed2000.exe. go to find files and put fed2000.exe, there should be one like fed2000.exe and another Fed2000.exe. open Fed2000.exe. that might fix it.

I´ve got the same problem as "Inter09" and "Battiston".
The the solution suggested by "AziziDaei#1" seems to be OK! But I have not got a second Fed2000.exe. I only got one! I have search through the whole disc but there is just only one!
You people who got Fed2000 working!, Have you got two Fed2000.exe?.

(Or perhaps some other suggestions on what might have gone wrong during my istallation?)

That solution does nothing, I have two files, but they are both fed2000.exe. One is in the Fifa2000 folder and one is in an unzipped folder. I don't see any reason why this isn't working!! Someone please help! There are no errors or any strange problems, the program just runs the installation over and over and over! IT SUCKS HUGE &*%$! It has to be something simple that I am not seeing. Someone run through exactly how to install this thing!

I am only guessing but you might have previously aborted an installation (not neccessarily FEd2000). This might have left some installation (files/scripts) in your PC and these are interfering with FEd2000 installation.

All I can suggest is to delete everything you can in C:\Windows\Temp and C:\Temp folders and hope that would get rid of the rubbish that causing you grief.

Good luck

well, I deleted the ALL the files from the Temp folders but I don't see a difference. I did install Fed2000 into the folder C:\program files\EA Sports\Fifa 2000, is this path correct? Where am I suppose to run the program from, the start, then program files? When I do that, it just prompts me to install it again? Where is the best site to download the program from? Does the comctl32.dll file need to be updated for the Fed2000 program to actually run? Please Chau, can you help? Run through EVERY step that I should take to install Fed2000 if you could please. Thanks for any help you could offer.

Hang on, you didn't just copy FEd2000.exe that you downloaded straight in to FIFA2000 folder and started executing that, did you?

Move FEd2000.exe out of FIFA2000 folder.
Run it as this IS the setup program. Follow the instructions and make sure that you install it to FIFA2000 folder. Then go to FIFA2000 folder and execute FEd2000.exe that the setup program put in there.

IT WORKED! Thanks so much! I knew it would be a simple problem! I did get some error message about an audio file, but it didn't effect the program. What is this audio file ?

You probably didn't install full FIFA2000, therefore the player and team audio files aren't there. You can copy the TEAM.STR and PLAYER.STR from the CD to the DATA\AUDIO\SPCENG folder if you want to modify the audio.
