Ok its a great game and 50 times better than fifa. One thing that I hate is when you go to do a cross and your player kicks the ball backwards. If I wanted to lob to ball backwards I'd press the direction that way.
It mostly happens when your outside the box and not crossing it from the side. 'beckham gets into perfect possi and sees a player loose in the box but he kicks it backwards instead of farwards to the loose player' so chance on goal goes begging.
:(
GREAT GAME THOUGH :rockman: :hump: :crazyboy:

Or even bend it like B'ham! Yeah.. the biggest bender in the game.

I'm looking forward to a relatively bug-free PES on the PC. Less than three weeks to go... unless they change the release date again! :/

Ok i'll try that. Does it prevent the going backwards problem i was talking about though?

Yes, it does.

For previous versions, there was the option to set the cpu assisted (lob)passes on or off. Only got the demo for PES3, so, sorry can't confirm anything 'bout this. But yes I've noticed what you are saying, not just when crossing, but anywhere in the field. Never did I have a problem like this in the previous series. Hope it gets fixed or they still have the option to change the settings.

:D

So it's a bug? I thought it was just my gamepad:confused: .

yea i got the same problem, very annoying when you see a unmarked striker and want to do a long pass and instead the player shoots backwards.

its not a bug. if ur player is not in the correct area for a cross, u have to press L1 + cross to make sure he "crosses" the ball to the center.

There's also 5 different modes of crossing too. You can change them in the button configuration menu.

I have been having the same problem, the strange thing is that at least in WE7 i never had the same problem. My long ball would always go where I would point, even without the l1+O

Yep L1+ lets you cross from anywhere on the field, its great and very effective too ;)

If you don't use the combination L1 than the cross can end up somewhere else which is not that accurate.

Its not a bug...Use type 2 mode of crossing which you can change in the button config.
