Ive tied or lost 1-0 or 0-0 or 1-1 each of my last 10 games, and I won't lie, on semi-pro. How do you guys score?

Whether it be good formations, or attack strategies, how do you guys score?

I am using a woeful Spanish D2 Cádiz side, if that helps.

Thanks

If you want to play cheap... just shoot from 30 yards out. The golies are so pathetic in this game that youll probably score.

Whatever you idiot, play on pro or world-class and you will be lucky to score 1 out of 50 long shots
You prolly playing on amature level, so stop whining.

Myself I play on pro, so all my games are close, 1-0 1-1, 2-2, 3-1 and such, very fun and realistic.

a good thing that works for me (on semi pro) is to play a possesion offense, string some passes together up top, and shoot from around the 18-20. you cant hit the red tho, or the goalie will save it or it will go wide

My recepie is to break the wings and cross, you will score more goals if you have 3 attackers when you cross! ;)

As long as you shoot from the correct position you can score 50% of the time from long shots on all levels including World Class. It;'s not just a case of shooting, you have to be in the right place. It's definitely a bug becasue there are about 4 or 5 spots which almost always guaranteed a goal and it's in an area of the field where the defense don't pressure you too much because in a real game you wouldn't often shoot from that distance unless you're David Beckham!

And SR20DET, don't call people idiots because they have a difference of opinion to yours. The guy's actually right, I scored 5 long range goals in one half on World Class using USA against Italy and as you know, the stats for shooting for the USA players are not that great.

this is right...

this also works on pro... but the defense is more thight so...
it only works when you have space ofcourse and on pro you have less space so it's harder to place a good long distance shot...

Yes, when i play people online, i can get up to 6 or 7 one on ones, only to have all of them turned away. Keepers are unstopable. Anyone got any ideas about what buttons i should be pushing to get the ball in the back of the net?

If i'm losing and deseperate to score a goal i just use the good old fashioned long range shot, gets 'em every time!

On a serious note though long range shots need to be fixed, way too easy.

But another good way and almost everytime gurantees a goal for me is using Off the Ball on the wing.

I often scored by using OTB from my own half and lobbing it to a striker in the box or outside the box and curl the ball (as you would at 30 yards).

By the way, how does the offense style change your game? I didn't see any changes when switching from Wing Play to Long Ball.

Yeah, long range shots work very well,no matter what difficulty play.

I also found that free kicks and corners are very easy ways to score. Use the driven command on the corners and you will get a 40% scoring chance,at least that's what I do :p

I've only played on semi-pro and amateur on Gamecube because I haven't got dribbling response time quite down yet.

I find the best ways to score are by using OTB to hit someone near the top of the box, and as they chest it (if they do), take a one time volley. Or I work a possession game and keep the ball switching from a wing to center while my mids come up to support. It seems like you can string together more passes around the 18-yard line than 2003. Anyway, after 2 or 3 passes and direction changes at 20-25 yards, usually you spot a man with some space running to the 18....pass it to him and take the one time shot.

Corners work really well for me, driving it to back post runner is great.

I'm having trouble getting cross to stay away from the keeper...any ideas?

Also, when people say long-range shots work great, how long range? On the cube, I'm having trouble aiming the shots...they seem to go way wide, or straight to keeper in middle....and can you curve your shots on cube? L and R buttons?

Thanks,
-L

to score from long range shots u ve 2 get space & its 2 hard 2 get space in pro & world class,i 'm playing semi pro but as i started 2 win with high scores i'm gonna start playing pro level

my best way 2 score is the follow up especially in case of free kicks the GK return the ball back & my genious attackers are always there..
plus scoring from the overs from the wings
but my best is the follow up

by the way GK in that game r monkeys

I find the easiest way to score is to break down the wings and call up OTB, select the best positioned forward and then send the cross as soon as I pass the 18 yd line. Always head to the opposite corner and you'll find net.

There's spot in the middle of the field just outside the box where you can unleash a cracking shot into the back of the net but it always feels like cheating.

Also, I've been getting better at chesting down crosses into the box (after using OTB) and ripping one into the corner away from the defender who's on you like glue. You can hit the shoot button right after you chest it to fire a volley into the net but I haven't perfected that.

Even I am playing in world class, the goalie is still really stupid. All you have to do it to pass by all those defenders. Through pass will be a good way to do that. Also use a lot of cross from wings. Practice your corner kicks too cos I can score may be 40 to 50% during corner kicks.

I play Professional and try to shoot from far away while unmarked, or use off-the ball, this while using the best formation in the game 4-1-2-1-2 with attacking attitude.

Yea its pretty ahrd to score on PRO or WC...you can either practice like hell in free kick and score from dere or put every1 on attack...(2-3-5 formation i think is all attack)

Simple! JUst make at least 1Cross before getting to close to the keeper and you will score. Also shoot before you hit the box. It is not guaranteed but it works better than getting to close.
