View Full Version : Transfers And Training!
Gelbs 11-11-2003, 05:00:AM In regards to my previous thread "Too Easy". What is the point in transfers and training? Makes no difference whatsoever. I never bother with transfers and hardly any training either. Anyhow, this game is so rushed and crap. No weather etc. And not even any subs from the opponents unless a injury. More faults but can't be bothered to list them. We all know them anyway!
AJAXPriDe! 11-11-2003, 07:57:AM dont like the game? dont play it and dont post on this forum, its as simple as that. sometimes I think you kids are just here to piss people off?
Fire Fan 11-11-2003, 09:52:AM Training definitely makes a difference, Im playing with Arsenal and when they get tired or moral gets low they dont handle the ball as good, dude you have to give the game time, it plays so much like real life
SlayerDeuS 11-11-2003, 10:14:AM I like both PES and FIFA, but this round goes to PES. FIFA has made up tons of ground tho, I must say.
syaz_wan03 11-11-2003, 10:45:AM yeah...training makes the difference.... ;)
Elder 11-11-2003, 11:16:AM Training is a simple concept in this game. It takes some getting used to but can be fun once you do.
What you do is train the hell out of your bench and reserve players. This way when your normal players get tired, you can bring in the subs and reserves and their skills have improed greatly. It also keeps their morale up, and teams will offer to make a transfer with you for them for more money than they are worth.
I bought Christiano Ronaldo, sat him on the bench, and then sold him for 1 million more at the transfer window. When you get to the higher levels of career mode, you will need this training option as your players get very tired playing in the league, cup games, and champions league or eufa cup. Sometimes you play 3 games in one week.
Anyone know any good players for cheap? I am playing as Karlsruher in Bundesliga 2. I bought Scholl from Bayern for 1 million, Emerton, Duff at a good price, Ronaldo, Kesman, and Rommedal, and Amuroso.
I blew the first season getting fired and finishing 15th in the league. The next season I moved up and won the league cup. But my budget only jumped to 12 million! This game is tough, so quit the complaining already.
lil_kewell 11-11-2003, 11:25:AM Training is mad!! u can pracitice plays and free kiks etc.... helps me alot... but i agree the transfers r s h it as well ... they could have made it a lot better
lil_kewell 11-11-2003, 11:27:AM Hey do u get money for wining cups and stuff in career mode???? oh and i think i am talkin bout Practice mode lol..... Yeh The training mode isnt much.. or do u just train the bad players and make them good or sometin???

Yes, I made 3rd place in 2nd division and was promoted. My budget went from like 5 million or less to 12.5 the next year. If i Do well again, I think I get more.

Wait , you said once you get to the higher levels of carreer mode, so that meens you got different job offers...? I hope so, some people say that there are no job offers in the game.
angel21 12-11-2003, 07:24:PM training improves players and they get fatigued which is good because you finaly have the need for rotation of players and you need a bigger squad and more substitutes!!
but it is unfortunate that computer doesnt sub no more!
ishan1990 14-11-2003, 10:49:AM besides selling players and waiting till the end of the season, is there any way to get more money for transfers?
Stuntman 14-11-2003, 10:59:AM Nope.
AlienSeafood 14-11-2003, 11:44:AM i havent reached d transfer window opened yet, but i was wonderin, how do u sell ur players? lke put them in the market to let pipol kno their for sale... :)
zynski 14-11-2003, 02:12:PM yeah about transfers, the manual is basically **** at trying to help. I have the ps2 version and i cant trade, though i have ppl who are being scouted by other teams, can some one tell me whats up with this? do i have to wait a while before i can trade or what?
syaz_wan03 14-11-2003, 02:14:PM yeah...i av the same probs... cant sell my player :o
viduka09 14-11-2003, 02:19:PM wait till the transfer window opens. Then if you wanna buy a player you scroll to the player you want and launch a bid (costs prestige points) if you want to list players, choose the player you want so it shows his bio, then move it across to list or release player.
AlienSeafood 14-11-2003, 02:27:PM oh ok...tnx! gona get rid of barthez...mwahahahaha!!! out u go baldy!
butcher 14-11-2003, 03:34:PM hello there...
The more I play this game, the better I think of it...though it has some terrible bugs, and the worst interface known to man..
So when will the transfer window re-open? it should happen around mid- season right? I'm on Premier League and still nothing happened and it's January.
Any ideas?
oh and physical training...does it improve your player's condition?
viduka09 14-11-2003, 03:38:PM hmm if it is january, the transfer window should be open. To find out, go to Transfers then it will either say transfer window closed or submit bid...not to sure about that though
Chammas 14-11-2003, 07:15:PM You are developing in training. you can test skills etc
Xtr3me3 14-11-2003, 07:19:PM well from wat i heard,if u train ur players well enough,u can get a job offer :)
md_32 14-11-2003, 07:26:PM To sell players go to the transfer market pages and go to your team. View the player bios there and you have the option of "negotiating" with other teams if they have shown interest in your players. The negotiation is really; just the interested club offering a take it or leave it deal.
kennytomson 14-11-2003, 09:24:PM can you only buy and sell players in carreer mode? if someone wanted to fix the rosters, say someone on real madrid is now with FC porta, is there any way to do this?
