I don't know if this is old news or not, but you can get the UK speech files at http://bounce.to/fifa2000 in the downloads/utillities section. The files are zipped into one 4.1 mb file. It took me 19 minutes to download at 56.6, and it works great.

No more terrible US commentary!!

If anyone from outside the US is curious as to just how bad the commentary is, let me know and I will email my old speech files to you.

Our link at bounce.to/fifa2000 is an external one. The file is not located on our server. The file you can download contains only the most important phrases and some player names. You can download the full english commentary at http://209.1.224.14/Heartland/Cabin/8634/images/

The only problem: The whole thing is packed in 32 files with 2.8 megs each. That makes it almost 90 megs in total !!!

Unfortunately, there is another problem with these files apart from their size. There are 32 files to download, Fifa2ksp01.zip through to Fifa2ksp32.zip. However, the two files Fifaspk01.zip and Fifaspk02.zip are identical, which screws up the whole thing. Both contain Fifa2ksp.ace, a WinAce archive that joins together all of the other downloaded files. Unfortunately, one of these files (Fifa2ksp.c00) is missing (presumably it was once inside Fifaspk02.zip when the correct version of this file existed). You'll need to get hold of a proper version of Fifa2ksp02.zip before you can continue which, I should warn you, is going to be about as easy as getting sh*te from a rocking horse.

If you manage to find a download site that (a) works and (b) has all of the correct files on it, please post the details of where you found it to this Forum. I've just about given up hope of ever hearing Motty on my PC.

people like was said by others that 4.1 meg file is not the whole thing i downloaded all of those 32 2.8mb files for the true uk speech and heres another tip read in the forum(this is for you steve)it tells you where this infamous zip2 file is, even the site tells you that zip two is incorrect and tells you how to get he real 2nd zip but sorry dont have the link but i guarantee its somewhere in the forum thats how i got it hope that helps

Thanks for the help guys. I did read that forum message about finding the new fifa2ksp02 file and I went to the site to get it. I can't remember exactly what happened next but I had some problem or other with downloading it. Anyway, I should be able to receive the proper file now courtesy of Bubber. Cheers.

I was able to download about 11 files of the UK commentary, but now the server hasn't worked for 2 days. Anyone know the status of the 209.1.224.14/Heartland/Cabin/1627/images/ link or anywhere else that I can get the rest of the files?

I have all of the commentary files, but what is WinAce? I can't find such a program anywhere on the internet. Can you tell me where I can get it?
