how is off the ball different from player runs last year?
they both made other players of your team make runs only this year it has 1-2-3 while last year ut was a red line

but now you control the other player doing the run. And u can still do player runs like last year. ;)

Off the ball control isnt the same as last years "player runs"

I'll explain it the best I can. Hope this helps.

Off The Ball running, or OTB, is where you are able to physically control the player in possesion of the ball, AND another selected player. You can also perform "player runs" like last year.

On the xbox controller, for OTB, you would activate it by pressing the WHITE button on your controller. You would then highlight one of the available players and be able to control him with the right thumbstick.

Also, to simply make a player run into space without control over where the player goes, just simply press the BLACK button AND the LEFT TRIGGER while facing the player that you would like to make the run.

Sounds sorta complicated, and its difficult to get the hang of the new OTB control, but well worth the time and patience to practice it.

I know what you mean. I had a hard time the first hour or so. Trying to control the ball carrier and the runner at the same time. Not an easy task playing on World Class. It took me about 8 or so hours to really get the hang of it. I can make some amazing plays with it now.

It isnt something that works every time you do it. Offsides, tackles, intercepting in the passing lane are all things that can happen. Its really great that I havent been able to find something that will work EVERY time I do it on the World Class setting. I play on xbox, and I assume the AI should be the same across the board.

Despite some of the other posts, I think EA did an excellent job with this game. I dont like the fact that League play is gone, but hey, you cant have everything... can you ?

how would i control the player without the ball using an analogue pad (thrustmaster) on the PC. currently i use the left analogue pad to control the player with the ball

the worst bugs are how the keeper can walk through the nets, and how the players clothes sometimes go clear

What are the controls for the OTB on a PC? and I mean keyboard controls?

That is the reason I purchased it for the xbox instead of the PC. I wanted to get it for the PC for the online play, but I knew there would be issues with the PC version. I have not problems with the xbox version of the game.
