dominicano 13-11-2003, 05:27:PM Speaking as a MAnchester United fan i hope nothing happens to him even though i think he will get a 3 Month Ban..I think They should just fine him or do sometin quick coz this is gettin into his head....
What do you people think will happen to him.....
shokz 13-11-2003, 05:30:PM He'll get 3-6 month I reckon, he'll be back for Portugal.
He'll open up a football academy like Eric Cantona did whilst serving the ban.
Welcome to SG dominicano. :ewan:
*puts Sky Sports News on*.
eddy_87 13-11-2003, 05:34:PM aye :ewan:
PaPaGeorGeo 13-11-2003, 05:41:PM He has to get some sort of ban how long depends on how much influence fifa have me thinks
erno_kivinen 13-11-2003, 05:52:PM Probably a six month ban recuded to 4 then 2 months and before anyone notices he'll be playing again.
shokz 13-11-2003, 06:04:PM Maybe he'll get his first Man United goal on his comeback :p, Cantona scored that penalty to make it 2-2 at Old Trafford vs Liverpool on his comeback.
soccerbest 13-11-2003, 06:19:PM 3 month ban will do I hope. :(
shokz 13-11-2003, 06:36:PM Lets look on to the future, who should Fergie snap up in January?.
Preferebly a defender from outside of Europe, or a defender who is not cup-tied in Europe.
I wish we got Escude whilst we had the chance. :(
For the time-being, we'll have to rely on Roy Keane in defence.
soccerbest 13-11-2003, 06:42:PM A striker and a defender in January. ;)
shokz 13-11-2003, 06:46:PM Just make sure the striker is not from Argentina.
Last time we bought the top scorer of Arpetura.... well I wont go there. :crazyboy:
Never lose faith in Diego. ;)
We're fine upfront, Solskjaer will be back soon, we'll have more options in attack, we could have both Ronaldo and Diego behind Ruud.
soccerbest 13-11-2003, 06:49:PM Sometimes Scholes and Giggs can play upfront too.
jackie4 13-11-2003, 06:52:PM He'll get told he's a very naughty boy and not to do it again.
That's about it!
VanTheMan 13-11-2003, 06:52:PM ya but shokz .to win the cl we need a quality striker to cover for ruud.
and right samba players don't adapt fast in epl teams.
so i think it would be nice to get either - gudjhonson, anelka, van der vaart, robben or kezman.
escude would prove great in defence but mexes' would be better

It just so happens that v/d vaart, gudjohnson, anelka, robben and kezman would be all cup-tied.
VanTheMan 13-11-2003, 06:55:PM oh!!!!! silly me.i forgot about that.
then we would have to look for fabiano

And shokz just said south american players need time to adapt to epl. Very hard to see a good striker in January without being cup-tied in Europe, maybe Defoe, but he is hardly world-class. How about fighting with the scouser for Cisse.
shokz 13-11-2003, 06:59:PM Cisse...He'd be cup-tied too. :funny:
!!!!
soccerbest 13-11-2003, 07:01:PM At this rate, wait the end of the season before buying a striker. :(
shokz 13-11-2003, 07:03:PM We went well last year with Ruud, Diego, Ole, only thing that let us down in Europe was Barthez and the pathetic defending, they were scared.
VanTheMan 13-11-2003, 09:41:PM ya barthez could have saved atleast 2 of ronaldo's goals at trafford.
well we now have timmy and he is world-class.

Get Mexes from Auxerre, I think he's not cup tied.

not possible, Auxerre play In a "UEFA Club Competition"(uefa cup).
A player playing UEFA Cup football, leaves club in January for a club playing in the Champions League(Again, a UEFA Club Competition), will be cup-tied.
The only way a player will not be cup-tied, and thats if he has not been registered by the referee(actually playing a game).
And Mexes has played in Auxerre's most recent game - so thats a nono.
