Here is how I got my gamepad working (Saitek PC2500 rumble).

To have FIFA 2004 recognize it I changed the name in the registry to Logitech DualAction USB, as suggested somewhere else in the forum: http://soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85861

To fix the right stick, after some browsing in the forums I found that I had to change the attributes of Axes 2 and 5 in the joystick registers, as follows:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\V ID_06A3&PID_FF0C\Axes\2

Attributes 00 81 00 00 02 00 BA 00

and:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\V ID_06A3&PID_FF0C\Axes\5

Attributes 00 81 00 00 02 00 BB 00


I hope it helps for most of the guys with the PC2500.
