shokz 14-11-2003, 07:44:PM ballsack to score a peach of a goal.
PSVFOREVER 14-11-2003, 08:11:PM I hope France kicks Germany's ass, and they will........they will!
Hendrik 15-11-2003, 12:12:AM They will not!
They might win, but they won't kick our asses because our defense is ace.
Jedi Mind Trick 15-11-2003, 12:19:AM this, too, will be a great match.
Nimreitz 15-11-2003, 12:55:AM Gotta cheer for Germany.
But I do like to watch France play, they're a fun team. Although without Lizerazu they just aren't the same.
Hendrik 15-11-2003, 12:58:AM Huh? What happened to Lizarazu?
Bobby 15-11-2003, 01:18:AM Go France
...and Mad Jens.
TottiNZidaneR#1 15-11-2003, 01:35:AM Go France:rockman: hopefully they win it 2-0:)
Elder 15-11-2003, 02:04:AM God I hope France loses. The players on that team are a disgrace except a select few. Too bad they just can't put the Stuttgart team out there against them.
I say it goes 2-1 to Germany, Kuryani and Ballack. Does Jens have his mullet back yet? Kahn grew his back so all is right with the world.
es gibt nur ein rudi voeller, es gibt nur ein rudi voeller, eeeeeeeeeeiiiin rudi voelleeeeeeeeeeeer, es gibt nur ein rudi voellllleeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr!
France should win, the quality they have, its unfair. :(

Lehmann won't play unless Kahn drops a bottle of aftershave on his foot 12 hours before kick-off.
Why will Barthez boycott the match? Does he have something against his team scoring a lot of goals?
soccerbest 15-11-2003, 03:23:PM Go France go. :rockman:
bjmenge 15-11-2003, 03:28:PM Since France is essentially the international version of Arsenal, I'll root for them. The French national team is the only thing I can stand about that damn country. And I hate Germany anyways, with the exception of Mad Jens, of course.
France 3 - 1 Germany
Henry x2, Pires - Ballack
Internazionale 15-11-2003, 04:23:PM interesting match...:p

Also i think 2-1 to France:rockman:
Thomaxx LBM 15-11-2003, 07:50:PM 3:1 Germany

No, he's captain for this match because Marcel Desailly and Patrick Vieira are injured ;) Anyway, Zidane doesn't have the captain's spirit, he's too "shy"
Frostwolf 15-11-2003, 07:54:PM Phillipe Mexes is recognised as one with great influence and authority. He'll be one to watch over the years (but everybody knew that.)

::shinji:: 16-11-2003, 03:54:AM Battle of old Europe, my ass.....The Euro 2004 tournament is going to be just a formality. They should just give France the trophy now and let the rest play for second place. The French are just too strong right now
champdave 16-11-2003, 03:55:AM What are you on? The French play very well as a team.
France win 3-0; Henry and Trezeguet (x2)
The goals:
1-0: Bixente Lizarazu cross, past Kahn, Henry heads it in
2-0: Henry turns the defender, sprints towards goal. He looks like he'll side foot it in but unselfishly passses to an open Trezeguet.
3-0: Zizou splits the defense and Trezeguet hits a first time shot past Kahn from just inside the penalty area.
What a match. If you were watching on TF1 (ultra south ;) ) it was classic!
We can deduce that:
Henry
Trezeguet
Zizou
Coupet
The man with the live cockerel
The Germans :-puke:
jigger37 16-11-2003, 04:07:AM So much for organisation then.....

Voltaic Borusse 16-11-2003, 04:32:AM I'm American, Latin-American. Yes, a BVB fan born in North America. Just because I support a German-based club, doesn't mean I've got to support their German Natonal Team. I appluad France for thrashing Germany.
Germany's 1-0 win over the USA still remains present in my head. ;)

You're almost French now :rockman: Yeah, good result for France, 3-0 it's severe but we played well without Vieira (H)
Trezegoal
Anaconda
Zizou
;)
Hendrik 16-11-2003, 05:35:AM Our usual performance in friendly games. :nape:
Anyway, I think we played very well in the first half. Kuranyi had a great chance but hit the bar. We had more chances by Baumann (also hit the bar), Ballack's free kick and a nice shot by Schneider.
The French had one chance and made the goal. Stupid mistake by Wörns who was playing pish today.
Then the 2nd half...let's not talk about it.
The result is imo a bit too high but we have a young team which will make a big step forward till next summer.
Oh and congrats to France, they have a great team with many worldclass players. They are No.1 in Europe. Even the German fans aplaud the french players after the game. :)
Nice to see Henry score on a header:D
Hendrik 16-11-2003, 06:23:AM He and Trezeguet were awesome, they are a great duo. Arsenal should try to buy Trez.

*Remembers Arsenal is broke at the moment.* :(
Pferd 16-11-2003, 07:33:AM whats wrong with highbury anyway? why does arsenal need a new stadium?
Too small. Plus Highbury is a dump/
PaPaGeorGeo 16-11-2003, 11:27:AM Highbury is the best football pitch in England
anyways Go France
pffft. Highbury is hell on Earth.

nothing really wrong with highbury. but it's a bit on the smaller side for a club such as arsenal. supposedly, they're missing out on a lot of revenue from ticket sales and move to a new, larger stadium will do the trick.
as for the match, i really wish i could have watched it. i read that henry, trezeguet, and zidane were simply sublime. and those new france unis are hot.
Sanel 16-11-2003, 11:46:AM WOW! i cant believe whats happening with germany, lose 3:0 to france (no offence because they are good) is unbelievable with such a great defence... beside my national team, germany would have to be my second favorite so this comes as bad news to me... :(

bjmenge 16-11-2003, 12:06:PM Are these kits new? The French one doesn't look that much different, from the one they wore in the World Cup, although the German one does look to have been changed.

Why does it suck? I don't know, can you please tell me why that particular football jersey sucks? I was assuming all the French jerseys were the SAME regardless of whatever name and number they had on the back.
Is it the way the "P" is positioned next to the "I"?
Perhaps it's the angle the number 7 makes against the name?
Or even, maybe it's the un-roundedness of 7. Maybe the FFF should change Pires' squad number to 3 or 6 or 9. They're nice and round.
Oh, it was a joke? You have an absolute ****e sense of humour then.
:ewan:
Oh and, props to Ewan for inspiring this excellent, excellent smilie. :ewan:

Frostwolf 16-11-2003, 05:50:PM At least Anti picks decent subjects to criticise, you picked someone's jersey to criticise for Christ's sake.
I don't think you're Man Utd's Antithesis, you don't deserve to be at his level yet (H).
I like to think of you as an ambassador for all the idiot Man Utd fans here.
Aside from that I have absolutely nothing against you. :ewan:

Adidas would be forever be bastardised if they ever do make a "radical" change to a country's (or club) HOME kit. Away kits are fine, they're always changed.
It's like having a French jersey without the blue, a Man Utd or Arsenal or Liverpool jersey without the red. They can't drastically change the jerseys because of the backlash.
Jedi Mind Trick 18-11-2003, 02:07:PM i don't think any team would dare change the color of their home kits.
but i think the "changes" people are talking about are details on the kits...not colors.
