Today's pundits on Sky Sports.

Sven has only lost 1 game from the 33 games he has managed with England, quite amazing record.

David James booked for a foul outside the box, lucky.

Gary Neville has got a limp, he's coming off for Glen Johnsen :(.

-edit-

Upson brings down a player, penalty.

Jorgenson 2-2 30min.

Bring off Terry and Upson asap.

4 losses for Sven!

He lost 2-1 to Italy last year.

Montella got both goals!

Only defeat away from Home was the World Cup defeat to Brazil

and, who gives a fu*k about this, its a f*cking friendly... and im glad that sven started upson and terry because if camplbell andferdinand started and they got injured u would start SCREEEAMING at sven and say that he should be fired

I hate our defence, every time the opponent goes forwards I feel really nervous . . .

A good defence, like the Liverpool one of 2000-2001, every time the opposition come forward I feel comfortable, like Ferdinand-Campbell in the 1-0 win over Argentina, that was a great performance!

17-11-2003, 04:12:AM
Hey wait a minute!

I reckon it is 5 defeats for Sven

Wasn't he boss when England lost to Holland and Van Bommel scored an absolute beauty?

That was at home too.

What are you on about?

If thats so, why are we not screaming at Sven because Gary Neville picked up a reocurrance of his ankle injury?.

I knew Denmark would win this.

Good game.

England will go nowhere in Euro 2004 - an early exit on the cards.

England's chances in the first phase depend on the draw!

I agree they won't win it though cos their defence is nowhere near top class.

With Upson and Terry at the back, we won't stand a chance.

I found it funny that people are writing us off too soon.

Bring back Rio. :(

jackie4
17-11-2003, 05:57:AM
Upson and Terry won't be the England centre backs in Portugal.

Campbell and Ferdinand will.

Looking at Wayne Bridge, Ashley Cole and previously Owen Hargreaves, How Celtic's Alan Thompson hasn't got a call ahead of those three puddings on the left is beyond me.

3-2 denmark.

studying so hard, you could only have the time to come to this forum, find the appropriate thread, and ask for the score...i guess that takes more time than just looking up the score online...

Although I wouldn't read too much into this result I too am concerned about Englands defensive frailties, as even Campbell hasn't looked so solid of late.

I doubt we will win Euro 2004 but I would at least expect a semi-final place or else I'd get rid of Sven - he experiments far too much for my liking.

France have to be pre-tournament favourites. After seeing the Germany-France friendly (which France won 3-0), I can't help but wish those Frenchies were English.

When our anthem stops getting boo'd, then maybe those who goto England games will stop boo'ing other countries anthems, deal with it.

I didn't give a crap when the turks boo'd our anthem in istanbul.

I want to watch my country play football, not choir boys singing songs on a field.

If I heard 100,000 Scots boo'ing my anthem, I wouldn't give a crap because I cant blame them for doing so.

Have a good day. :ewan:

I'll tell you a little about English history, Vince:

We (the Anglo-Saxons) are predominantly descended from you guys with some Danish and Roman thrown in for good measure.

I'm still in denial over the French connection though........... :f***:

You could say we're the ultimate Europeans. :p

I'd like to add that I find the booing of national anthems disrespectful and unnecessary. It serves no purpose whatsoever and certainly doesn't wind the players up. But I don't think it is anything to be concerned about - the fairplay has to start ON the pitch. Only then maybe certain fans will regain there verbally respectful behaviour towards others.

We should of won but we didn't who gives a flying **** its just a frendly. It was good to see that JJ got some time on the pitch and he played some decent passes to (H)

It's because of that arrogance no one likes you guys in Europe and you're mostly just friends with the US who have the same type of thinking, we are superior, we rule, we dont give a f*ck.

(I'm not saying that are english and american are like this)

But thank you for a moment of totally utter BS.

Hendrik

I think he was referring to the English descent. They are in some way related to nearly all European cultures. That makes them ultimate Eurpeans.

Vince is right, Virgo. If you notice I posted a tongue in cheek smiley. It was meant to be a little humour - sorry if the language barrier happened to cause any offence to anyone. :)

I don't understand why so many people on this forum have to be so hostile though? Life's too short!
