LETS GO BRAZIL!
It's going to be a great match. Peru is coming with a Brazilian coach that knows a lot about the way Parreira, Brazil's coach, plays his team. Can't wait.
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 03:04:AM just started. Peru kick off.
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 03:06:AM Kaka just missed the first goal in less than the first minute
-William- 17-11-2003, 03:07:AM hope Peru wins :p
I think it will be a tie... 3-3 (H)
Fernandez 17-11-2003, 03:18:AM what is roque junior doing there???:wootman:
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 03:20:AM he may suck at Leeds but, he fits well in Brazil! BTW Peru better than Brazil right now.
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 03:26:AM Penalty on Rivaldo.
Shoots...
And...
GOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
RRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOO #10
:rockman:
Fernandez 17-11-2003, 03:28:AM you better not post new posts if no one posted yet, you might get booked... use the edit button if no one posted yet...;)
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 03:31:AM I won't get booked for this. You only get booked if you post every single detail of the match, like a team getting a corner kick.
BTW Peru is sitll playing better than Brazil.:kader:
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 03:57:AM HT- 0-1 Brazil
Ronaldo- no where to be seen
Kaka- missed like 3, 4 goals
Rivaldo- goal, and a shot at post
Brazil isn't playing very well and Peru is really doing well.
Pizarro- the best player on the pitch in the first half. Him and Peru's goalkeeper are keeping Peru in the game. Peru may win this one if Brazil don't step up.
I think that Emerson should come off for Juninho Pernanbucano who is playing very well in France.
Kibe Kru 17-11-2003, 03:59:AM I don't think Roque Junior fits in the brazilian squad... he's too unreliable to my liking... Santos' Alex would be my choice for the partnership with Lucio
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 04:24:AM I knew it was going to happen.
Peru tie with Solano
Brazil needs Juninho Pernanbucano so bad.
Hang0ne 17-11-2003, 05:03:AM hows the game?
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 05:14:AM FT Peru 1-Brazil 1.
Bad performance by Ronaldo
:kader:
Average for Kaka who missed like five goals
Rivaldo getting his football back.
Stupid Parreira, he should of replaced Emerson, who is not NT material, in HT for Juninho Pernanbucano. I was listening to the game on the radio and after Peru scored I turned it off, I couldn't stant listening to the game that had a very disorganized squad this evening. Well in the end Peru played a good game(read it). Very well game played by Peru who in the first minutes came to brazil's goal to take the match.:o
Hang0ne 17-11-2003, 05:17:AM damn:(
HAHAH
We are now tied with Breazil for the lead!!!!:rockman:
BRAZIL'S_#9 17-11-2003, 05:29:AM How much do you wanna bet that Argentina aren't getting pass Colombia if the game is played at Colombia. BTW I don't really think Brazil will get passed Uruguay either considering the way they are playing.:kader:
Damn Parreira. Die Mofo!:f***:
QuikZilver 17-11-2003, 10:25:AM Peru was the better team. Especially in the first 30 minutes of the second half. In the last 15 minutes They got tired and Brazil had a chance to take the game but Ronaldo wasn't himself. I saw this game in a movie theather full of Peruvians.
PaPaGeorGeo 17-11-2003, 01:35:PM How did Gilberto Play?
and was Kaká THAT bad? 5 clear chances missed???
5 clear chances? CLEAR? What the hell, then i didnt watch the game... Because from this 5 he was blocked in some, god he didnt even had 5 shots on goal, how he missed 5 clear chances? Plus he made the assist to Rivaldo who then suffered the penalty. Kaka was the sparkle of creativity in our midfield, he played a good match if you ask me, and if someone disagrees, i can say that after he was subbed (and the commentator here went mad) our midfield almost, or completely died, because Alex didnt do anything, he's not a player for a NT if you ask me, he's good for his club and that's it. Gilberto was awful and Emerson was even worse. Both couldnt prevent the Peruvian midfield from creating their chances. Dida was probably drunk before the match, he was tried to catch the air not the ball, and he accomplished what he tried to do, so lets say that when he decides to make mistakes, he does it with class.:mrpimp: And Roque Junior, he doesnt fit well for playing football. He should try basketball, at least he's tall. The best players in the team were Kaka and Rivaldo, the rest : 1) Sucked, 2) Were Non-Existant. Lets play again like that against Uruguay and get our asses wiped.
Lennon 18-11-2003, 02:04:AM I hope Brazil maintains this level of play against Paraguay (H)
BRAZIL'S_#9 18-11-2003, 04:37:AM I was wrong with the facts concerning Kaka. Here is another summary of the match made a Brazilian in another forum:
Lucio, Roque Junior, Gilberto Silva, Emerson and Ze Roberto ALL sucked. Renato came in for Emerson and was just as bad as the starter, not one inch better. When so many players perform badly it's not the manager's fault that the team plays poorly, right? Wrong, at least in this case.
At one point in the 2nd half it looked like we were using a 4-3-3: we recovered the ball, Kaka pushed forward, Ronaldo penetrated the opposing central defense and Rivaldo opened spaces... meanwhile, behind them there was a HUGE blank space, populated only by Peruvians. Waaaaaaaaaay back there, on the midfield line (when WE had ball possession!!) stood Emerson, Gilberto and Ze Roberto, supposedly "guarding the defense" in case Peru recovered the ball.
The problem is that they were so far from the attackers that it was actually poor defending: if Brazil's forward line lost the ball Peru could calmly organize a counterattack in their own half, because OUR midfield was too withdrawn. Ironically, we lacked one of the buzzwords Parreira loves to use, "compactaçăo"; our team was not a cohesive unit. The forwards attacked but the rest didn't. What the...!? I have to assume it's Parreira's fault. Why else would Emerson, Gilberto and Ze Roberto stand idly on the midfield line when the three forwards attacked?? What were they doing, who were they guarding so desperately? It was a tactical mistake, period.
But even so, we were still better than Peru in the 1st half, when we lost several good chances, including a scorcher shot by Rivaldo (GREAT match by Rivo, btw!!) which blasted the bar. On the halftime Autuori, who observed the holes in our system, changed Peru's positioning and turned the game around: Peru started dominating, even though they had no creativity whatsoever. The midfield was theirs for a good 25/30 minutes of the 2nd half. Brazil still had a couple of chances to score in the 2nd half but in the end it was a fair result: Brazil was superior in the 1st half, when we created enough chances to win; but Peru was more compact in the 2nd half, even without shining.
*****************
Now, about individual players...
Dida had problems with the dozens of balls Peru crossed over our area; I thought he had improved on this, apparently I was wrong.
Cafu was "Mr. Reliable" himself, showing up to play, creating interesting situations and crossing masterfully.
Roque Junior, who did so well against Colombia, looked clueless; and Lucio was mispositioned most of the time.
Junior was competent but not brilliant. He deserves no blame for the result.
I'm convinced that Emerson can't be the second man of our midfield. He and Gilberto (who was also mediocre) should compete for the same spot, the "cabeça de area". The second man in midfield should be either Renato (who was bureaucratic yesterday, by the way; if he were Emerson the critics would be killing him, but being Renato no criticism is heard) or Juninho Pernambucano (my personal favorite).
Without Roberto Carlos on the pitch, Ze Roberto was pointless – since Junior doesn't push forward as frequently as RC, ZR was covering for nobody. He didn't attack at any time either, so we have to wonder what he was doing in there.
Kaka was outstanding, his recent evolution is impressive indeed.
Rivaldo was the best player on the pitch while he had stamina; in the end he got tired, since he hasn't played a whole match in a looong time. If Rivo is playing like this in Milan's training sessions, Ancelotti is insane for not using him.
Ronaldo didn't have a lot of opportunities and on his best chance he missed the net.
*************
One positive note: After the game, Gilberto was interviewed and he was totally embarassed, as if his team had been defeated. Good to see a Brazilian player who still gets upset with poor performances, on our day and age. Pelo menos tem vergonha na cara...
BRAZIL'S_#9 18-11-2003, 04:42:AM In another account I gotta say that Parreira does not know how to play Ze Roberto, the fews games that I saw him with munich he was brilliant correct me munich fans if I'm wrong, why can't he play as googd for Brazil. BTW Ronaldo better get over his divorce and step it up on Wednesday.
Chammas 18-11-2003, 05:36:PM Yes, I dont think Ronnie was quite motivated. The divorce is taking him hard but maybe he can stop thinking of it cause Brazil needs him especially now when both Carlos and Ronaldinho are injured.
I believe Roberto Carlos is super important for both Brazil and Madrid. Just look at what happend to Madrid against sevilla when Carlos didn´t play :hit:
Fernandez 18-11-2003, 05:52:PM maybe Kleberson should start after his injury, he looks promising for Brazil... i think Dida is also one of those players that played not well, he is too indecisive....
shokz 18-11-2003, 05:54:PM Dida is the 2nd best keeper in the world, the brazil coach would be an absolute mug not to play him Fernandez.
Fernandez 18-11-2003, 05:56:PM for his shot-stopping and reflexes yes.... but he needs to improve his decision making.... he was partly to blame for peru's goal...
shokz 18-11-2003, 06:13:PM Fair enough then, I'd still play him though, he's too big to go down to Barthez's level.
Fernandez 18-11-2003, 06:18:PM so does size matter if a gk sucks at shot-stopping and poor reflexes?
