Hi all... I was talking with Ariel and he said that we wont have Face Raptor this year... yes... thats truth... :( The MASTA said that the game dosnt allow new faces so there is no need to make Face Raptor... I am very dissapointed... Shame u EA.... :(

If ariel can't work that out then nobody will. damn, EA: why don't you even let us make the game better? making and importing faces was in the end the only thing fun in FIFA2003. I mean 2004 has gameplay etc but if you can't import faces, that's just crap...

kahn, ronaldo and others were in the big file, Ariel said that it is impossible to add NEW files to BIG, only replace. we cant also add new KITS ID, FLAGS ID etc... :(

Ariel one more time: there is no way to add new files to big files
so the only way is to replace fsh already in the big files
so if you want I make a face raptor to replace faces already in the game with new faces you made and asign them to other players

only face updates are possible :(

wot about when creation centre comes out? we may well find a way with that and then by looking into that make a program

Mmmh what? Just today i added a bmp to the big file so adding files is possible or not?

it's possible to add things (I just tried to add a face with a new ID number), but maybe the game crashes when you try to start a game including the new face...

have u added fsh's? i think not... Ariel said its impossible, so it is... what will u do with that Bmp u added? ;) nothing... u see now... NO NEW FACES ID, becase there is no way to add new files to big files, FSH and O files. But yes, maybe when Creation Centre it will be possible but its only maybe... WE MUST WAIT then... :(

yes Bream there are tallented coders but i dont think EA could help if they wont us to add new files now so they wont us to add the files in the future. but yes i can also say that never say never. the time will show...

I used bigui and tried to import an .o and a .fsh file with a number that's not used already (318). there was no error and I found the files in the list and was even able to compress them.
I'm not saying Ariel is wrong, I'm just telling what I've just experienced. maybe somebody else should try it too...

Didn't EA want to make a Fifa 2004 Version just for the Chinese and Japanese(Japanese Style and so on)? Maybe that's y there are LOTS of Chinese and Japanese Players in da Game. :P

Well, I've been told about this 2 weeks ago, and all this time we've been trying to figure out a way to make the assignment of new faces possible. But we weren't able to do so.
What we're planning to do is, exactly, what CyreX said: We'll assign the new faces to most of the unknown players (like Chinese and Japanese ones). I know that a lot of Asian people will go mad at us, but that's the only way we can think of to have new faces at the moment.
Perhaps the Creation Centre will allow us to import and assign new faces, I doubt it tho'.

So... for example, Neovico's Juan Román Riquelme will replace the face number 800 in the game. :)

I don't wanna piss anybody off here but since there will be an editor included in TCM I'm pretty sure that EA won't give a flying **** about releasing a single CC - "go buy the other game. we gave you superduper football-fusion (of which no one knows if it's going to work)"...
TCM will be out on friday here in germany. maybe we'll know better then.

To set some things straight... When Ariel is saying that he can't add new files in the .big files I believe he means that he can't add new files that actually WORK IN GAME. Of course it's easy to import whatever file you want in a .big file with bigGUI, the problem is obviously that we cannot assign these files (here,the faces) to a player or a team etc.

In a few words,the problem is not adding files into .big, but assigning them!

creation centre can create players and you'll be able to assign default generic faces, but giving the player an assigned face, individual to that player, is going to prove difficult....you are confusing yourself with the generic faces.

okey i get your point ; but check this; Cyrex also mention that ariel told him that that it is impossible to add NEW files to BIG, only replace and we cant also add new KITS ID, FLAGS ID etc...

now let me ask you this ; iam pretty sure we are going to be able to create new players; and in this case new teams with CC; do you really think we are not going to be able to assing a new kit or new flags to that new team; or the a case of new players an specific new face; i think not; i know Ariel is very talented; but remember who made the game and knows how it really works.

CC mite use a different method, for example, last year it used packages. this mite be the same this year round

The files from hidden faces were already in zdata_04.big, then Ariel just gave face id to those players in the data file. Of course he edited it with HEX editor. Hercules also knows how to do it and maybe some others guys know it too

but in the demo, legrottigle (sp?) and kaladze didnt have specific faces, yet people were able to add them into zdata04.big weren't they?

And what about kit raptor ? when will release ?

no, king bobs leggrotaglie just replaced his generic face. he didn't give him a new face ID what seems to be our problem.

after some time to think about it I need to say that this is probably the most stupid thing that EA Sports could have done. I mean it's the first time I play fifa and the gameplay is just great and really enjoyable. but instead of making a good game about it they simply let the community down.
They made an interface you can hardly use with a mouse because it's so damn slow and inaccurate.
They messed up the great option to have the lower leagues and carrer mode by reducing it to 5 years only.
Not to mention that there are not even standart touraments like world cup, or the euro cups.
They brought out a "patch", that wasn't a help at all for most of the people.

And now this! I mean they new about the community and the great tools and patches, faces and kits that are made here. This community is not a harm to EA. It just makes the game way more attractive to the user. If I didn't knew about soccergaming and other boards I'd probably have stopped playing FIFA 2003 after 2 or 3 months because it just gets boring. But with the help of the community there have always been new aspects that made it fun again, even if it was just a new face.
What I want to say is: EA Sports should be thankful that there is such a community and try to support us here instead of making it harder for the editors every new year.

RA-D, please read the whole thread... THE HIDDEN faces were unlocked because they were in FIFA FILES... Understood? Ariel has only edited the files in hex and added the faces to correct players. Remember all: Hidden Faces were in the game files

may be EA have inserted a check of BIG file's lenght or other protection of this type in the executable of the game... If you know a great patcher / hacker it's the time to ask him help :rolleyes:

Another of my FIFA 2004 prediction comes true . . . After the individual teeth, I predicted long time ago that EA will make it harder for us to edit the game, and they will release various big patches for us to download just to edit the game.

But then again, we can always count on our "lovely" great hacker Hrvoje Bajlo . . . :rolleyes:

If EA dosent let us customise our fifa, then they better make the game alot better then it is now, the havent even got the skin color right on some players, I really dont think that fifa2004 is good work, and with out custom made graphics, i'll never gonna spend a singel cent on an EA product again.

I just bought TCM 2004 (yeah they made me do it...) and there goes another hope: The editor seems pretty huge and powerful but you can NOT import faces with new id's and you can NOT create new players.
then if you want to change a generic player's look you can choose from about 7 faces each ethnicity and about 7 hairstyles. so this is for the guys who wonder why all the players look the same (like in fifa 97)...
