I need biggggg help!! I have a 4-button gamepad i I have problems playing fifa 2004!!! I can only use 3 buttons A-lob/tackle B-pass C-shoot, and button D- has no function, but on previous fifa games it was used for "fast run". Becouse there is no controller menu in the game i can not change anything!! I tried with patch but it is not working!! I do not know what is the problem. Can onyone help me to resolve this problem?????? And can someone told me the site where is the patch working!!! Thnxxx ))))))) I have a german version, but I change language to english!!!

1st of all u need 2 got 2 the fifa directory in start menu and check for update then click europe, then the green button. i hope ive helped.

I did that in the past, and nothing has changed, but i get the message " patch is installed" but again no change!!!!!!

get a program called JoyToKey. i use it to convert all keyboard keys to controller even after the patch was installed (can set shift key this way)

it is a small program, but it works perfectly.
There is also a soccer downloads site somewhere that has the patch you can download. EA take a hint here....

Buy new gamepad (Logitech Dual action Gamepad-It should cost about 50-60 KM), becuse if you plan to play FIFA at good level you will need more then 4 buttons)

I played all fifas at same level, and it was world class!! I won games by 6-5 or 1-0 or lost 3-1.... I get used to it. I controller is good, all i need is Shoting, Passing , Lob and Fast run. But fast run which need to be numpad D is not working, but on previous fifas it worked well!!!!

In fifa03 you tapped the button for run? you need to hold the run button down in fifa04. If that doesnt work and you tried the program i said above, then I think your controller is stuffed.

Of course I hold the button. The controller works really. When I choose friendly games, that button I use to change stadium and other options, but i when i play the game there is no function!!!! please help somebodyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????????''

When I try to install a patch from www.fifasoccer.ru, there is a eroor message when it comes to 54% It says" Old file not found.However file of the same name was found. No uptade done since file contents do not match" Does onyone know what this means!!!

come on, does onyone know???? is there ony posability of editing something or.......... Just to use a button D???????

OK!!! Lets try from begining!! I install a fiifs 2004, it is a german version and where i can download the patch that is really working??????

sorry buddy, noone has a similar problem, perhaps reinstallin may help.

if you have a "old file not found" problem while installing the patch, try installing the game with a -full- installation (all files copied)
by doing that the patch should apply properly, and then the new controller config screen should appear, and you should be able to set your 4th button to run

It is a full installation (1000 and more mb).

When i try to open i config.dat, it shows me a new window: Program Not Found, windows can not find SuperDVD.exe This program is needed for opening files oy type "SuperDVD Dat Files! Please help!!!!!
