My gamepad has arrived at last and I'm trying out some of the moves in "Practice Mode".
I don't know which button on the Game Pad to use for the keyboard SHIFT key, though or how to map alternatives.
Can anyone advise ? Has someone already done a guide for this controller ?
I has same controller. It works perfectly. Download patch for fifa from fifaru or grab it here (its about 3.6Mb) and you will be able to remap buttons in game in controller config. At least I can.

Which button on the gamepad is the equivalent of the SHIFT key on the keyboard by default ? It isn't listed in the Conversion Table in the manual....

guys,
The "shift" key on the keyboard isn't mapped on a dual analog controller because there is no need for it.
What the "shift" on keyboard effectively does is allow you to emulate the RIGHT ANALOG stick with your directional keys.
In other words, all you need to do now (with your fancy fandangled gamepad) is use your RIGHT ANALOG stick to perform moves that were once required to be done with a shift+direction combination on the keyboard.
Hope this helps.

But using that right fancy button doesn't allow me to get a player to make a forward run as the manual states. and that at the moment is the move i want to do but cant. any advice guys?

Johnnymac, i'm not sure I follow.
I'm looking at the game manual right now and I am not sure what you are trying to do with a right button making a forward run.
I'm gonna assume you mean player runs, with controlling his direction.
What you do with posession is press (on the Logi) 5 while pointing to the player to send him on a run.
To get this player to MOVE to a new direction, or to take somewhat full control of him (not off the ball) you must do the same as before, but this time HOLD the button 5... while holding you are then able to control the player on his run via the RIGHT ANALOG. Letting go of button 5, the player will continue his run in the last facing direction.
Hope this helps

Yes you were right, as in fifa 2003 when you could make another player make a forward run i wanted to do that in 2004, the problem i faced was that you could do that with "shift" but there isn't a shift allocated with the logi pad, but i will try what you said tonight many thanx X.

XP-Chael, thanks for the tip about using the analog stick while holding #5 (Player Runs) - I didn't realize you could move them that way also, I thought the stick only worked with #7 (OTB).
