depends on the club, I currently play Atl. Madrid and have Torres and Portillo in the frontline. Torres: 9 matches, 11 goals, Portillo 10 matches 12 goals. He is a very good striker imo

i manager manutd and they gave me 42m i think... was he worth it..i wanted him badly trus me...

I got Ilhan Mansiz (my fav player in the world!!!) and he's doing great. 5 matches 5 goals, Ruud is only 5 matches 2 goals. I don't know if this is good or bad..... good = CM is verrrry realistic as RVN had a bad start this season, bad = well... doesn't shoot very much and doesn't win headers!

PS forgot to mention Mansiz only costs 8m HAHA

go for cherno samba from milwall. he got 25 goals in 12 matches and 7 assists. he rocks and he only cost me £1.4 mil. i did hav a £600k offer accepted but he turned me down at that point.................

You could play Torres for some five years and see what he would bring. He's a very good player, so if you don't want to sell him for what teams are offering, play him until he retires.
I don't think 30 million is too much, but you'll have to get some good and cheap youngsters to strengthen the squad some more.

Anelka is an explosive striker. Unless you're using some kind of defensive formation or counter attack, IMO he won't perform his full capabilities in ManU.
