Perth Glory 20-11-2003, 06:48:AM Hm.
What are your PC specs?
Have you tried lowering Sound acceleration through dxdiag?
rasho hio 20-11-2003, 07:33:AM yes, and it's better!
;)
RIISE 20-11-2003, 10:39:AM how do u deactivate ur audio card yes i have tried lowering down sound accelearation in dx diag and it gives a little relief but only little
lovalova 20-11-2003, 11:11:PM yes I deactived my soundcard aswell, and boy now its smooth and lovely how it was meant to be, I got 1ghz geforce 3 ti 200 btw...
sure would be nice if we can find a way around this major problem, perhaps its a soundblaster driver issue?
*deactivate it by right pressing my computer icon* and go from there
Saekerhett 21-11-2003, 12:32:AM Guess it's time to build in my good old Terratec, and see how it goes ;)
Saekerhett 21-11-2003, 01:04:AM I'll be damned, looks like the problem is gone since I put back my Terratec, no more slowmos at the penalty area!!!
Morssa 21-11-2003, 01:25:AM Saekerhett could u explain me what is that Terratec thing! and who can i use it?
Tanx!
Saekerhett 21-11-2003, 01:48:AM Terratec is just a sound card, but better then Creative. Although the slowmo is not 100% gone, it's a lot better now, but I sometimes noticed a framedrop at the penalty box, but less often than with the Soundblaster.
Saekerhett 21-11-2003, 01:54:AM Wow, I just set the conversion quality (don't know in English, I have Dutch windows) at the properties of multimedia in Control Panel, to 'best' and now the slowmo is almost GONE!
hey Rick, could you be a bit more specific? i couldnt find that option in the control panel
::..Federico Debla..:: 21-11-2003, 03:49:AM Yeah, me neither :S
See ya!
Saekerhett 21-11-2003, 03:59:AM Here is a screenshot (it's in Dutch though):

Damn... copy the whole url (quote this message to see) to your addressbar to see the picture, direct linking does not work.
lovalova 21-11-2003, 04:20:AM found this and installed the omega drivers, there is still some slow down tho but definatly better! keep going guys soon perhaps we might have no slow downs.
errr Rick,I still dont know how to get there...:s can anyone help, please?
::..Federico Debla..:: 21-11-2003, 04:44:AM Rick it'd be easier if you showed us which icon to click ;)
Because the Icons are all the same no matter what leanguage of Windows you have.
See ya!
::..Federico Debla..:: 21-11-2003, 04:49:AM Oh ok guys! I found it ;)
Go to Control Panel>Sounds and Multimedia (double click that icon)> Now go to Advanced Propierties (the ones at the lower part of the main tab)>then select the Performance tab and set everything like that guy said.
Haven't tested it yet, but that's mainly what we are supposed to do.
See ya!

Ok, so that's it in English ;)
It works for my Terratec btw, but I don't know it'll work for Creative Soundblasters.
jonah66 21-11-2003, 06:55:PM Just got the full game today, and I had the slow down/stutter problem in the penalty area. The in game noises (when yoy move the cursor over the options and the sound of the player kicking the ball) had a slight delay too.
I went into my audio card (onboard sis 7012) properties and moved the Hardware Acceleration tab fron 'none' to 'full' and it seems to have cleared up the slowness.
May be worth a try doing similar on your relative audio cards guys, as it's defo a sound problem.
jonah66 21-11-2003, 06:57:PM Meant to attach an image...sorry it's not clear but it's the hardware acceleration tab I moved, under Audio properties :) .
paterke1984 25-11-2003, 08:34:PM If I disable my soundcard in device manager, the game goes then back to windows after the konami icon is showed. It seems like it needs my soundcard to startup.
Putting the hardware acceleration to none helps for me a bit, but not enough.
Tried everything, but nothing seems to help. I hope someone can help me with runnnig the game with soundcard disabled. That's my last chance.
My system:
amdxp 1800+
256mb ddr pc2700
geforce4mx440
sblive 5.1
Drivers are updated, newest nvidia drivers replaced by the older ones of omega corner, cause pes3 does just flash with newest nvidia drivers.
butcher 25-11-2003, 09:27:PM Disabling my card did absolutely nothing for me.
MisH*The*Manc 25-11-2003, 09:46:PM Well lots of people are saying that the demo ran perfectly and the full game is having performance issues. The main difference between the two is the commentry. Seeing as the commentry is a pile of ****e anyway, it's not in the same league as the Japanese commentry ;) I just turned it off and it plays very smooth.
Although I'm disappointed about how it ran on my rig (p4 3.0ghz, 512ddr 400mhz, Asus p4p800, ati 9800 pro, SB Audigy 2) with the commentry turned on, it's more enjoyable with it turned off.
