Best Manager: VanGaal - has his difficult moments .... but his philosophy is brilliant.

Best Fans: Barca - as voted by UEFA, and has averaged the most for any team in Europe.

Best Striker: mmmm .... Henry (Arsenal) - has CONSISTENTLY dominated European and Domestic competitions. UEFA Cup, 3rd in Premier and 23 goals this season on a team w/ Bergkamp, Kanu and Suker.
Shevchenko - Milan, out of CL, did not even qualify for UEFA, out of Scudetto.
BatiGOL!! - Fiorentina, out of CL, forget Italy.
Inzaghi - take your pick, both out of Europe, although top two in Italy.

Surprise Team: Valencia - who'd a thunk it??

Playmaker: Figo ..... the guy is brilliant. More consistent than anyone ... xcept maybe Davids. But Davids' team is not in Europe.

what was wrong with Real v Man U ?(unless ur a Man U fan, in which case no answer is required). Great goals by Raul (one of the best strikers in the world in my opinion....), absolutely superb play by Redondo (that touch past Stam, i could watch the replay all day, it was so good......correct me if I'm wrong, but dont the english media like to say that Stam is the best defender in the world? he sure didnt play like it........the wonderful goal by Keano (at the wrong end... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif)......all adds up to a great game

Hey Juve ...... fair enough ....

The World Club Championship was more of a headline grabber because everyone around the world picked a ManU - Real final, based on the fact that they are European and thus they should be better. But they were not. Brazil's two team dominated and Europe did not even finish top 3. That is why. Besides .... I could care less about the ManU - Real tie ..... either team would suit me fine when they face Barca in the final. I would explain more ..... but this topic is reserved for something else. So I will leave it at that.

2-the best player of the year - Let's see, we've got Figo/Davids/Rivaldo. Kevin Phillips and Kewell deserves some mention but are definitely not player of the year nominees http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif. But they've really made a name for themselves this season
