First of all, hi everybody, this is my first message :) I own a gf4 card and used to have the slowdown problem. I downloaded the new 53.03 Forceware driver (http://www.3dchipset.com/drivers/beta/nvidia/nt5/index.php) and it fixes slowdowns completely. The bad news is it generates another problem: the field appears green and black striped... Im testing different configurations but havent got any solution yet.

Heya..

Yup I have exactly the same problem too. The 53.03 driver fixes the slowdown, as well as the screen flicker [52.16 driver problem]. But the field remains striped weirdly. Looks like the only hope is for yet another new driver to be released.. wasabi have you tried the 52.70 driver? I think there is one.. but I dunch noe where to get it.

P.S if anyone knows a possible tweak of the graphics card to solve both the slowdown and field, pls let us know..

With regards to 52.70 driver i havent tried it, but ive read that it doesnt make any improvement on geforce 4 cards. If you want to test it anyway its avalaible on the link i posted above.

I have gf4mx...does this mean I wont be able to play the game? Either with slowdowns or weird pitch? :( :kader:

I've got a g4 ti 4400 and I got the exact same problem....I'm using the 45.23 drivers, cause they give me by far the best performance without any serious trouble.

Edit: I just tried the 53.30 drivers and the slowdown is still there. the WEIRDEST thing is that when I first installed the game I never had this problem. Seriously no problems.

Now that I think of it: did you guys play it when you installed it (so without any editing from inside/outside the game) ?

AFS Explorer does give me an error when I open the data.e.afs file to import new kits. They do work ingame, but perhaps this causes the problem. Who knows

the 5x.xx drivers seem to give the black lines the 4x.xx not.. atleast this is my experience

Here is a temporary solution until nvidia drop a proper driver:

It seems that the black stripes appear only on a few stadiums. Here is a list where they dont.

-Orange Arena
-Gran Chaco
-Cuito Cuanavale
-Amerigo Atlantis
-Delle Alpi
-Stadio Olympico
-Porto Folio

So, in the game, enter "edit mode"->"edit team", and assign every team a stadium on the list above. You will play only on the stadiums that work well. Unfortunately this works only for club teams, not for national teams.

AMD 1.4ghz G4mx 256ram

These new drivers vastly improved the game for me. I still have to play in low-res, but at least it's pretty smooth mostly. I still have slowdows in the box when it's crowded with players, but it's much improved overall.

I too get the ugly stripes in some stadiums, just have to not use those....btw add Bayern Arena to the list of those that don't have the stripes problem.
