Go to Stadium in the game. You canedit to your hearts content and save it.

BTW I have just made Shrewsbury a 35000 seater as I have added corners, but the main stands are still small seated ones! :$

The editor does not work very well, and I would like to create realistic looking ones such as the original ones in the game, Old Trafford, Anfield etc!!

the tcm 2004 editor is in your tcm folder

i-e c:tcm

just click on the editor icon

when you make stadiums remember to alter the seating numbers in the editor so it matches the numbers in each stand .

THE MIGHTY 8TH

the red rings indicate the things you use to design and save a stadium . (see picture below)

the top one is what you use to save the finish or part design etc .

but before that , click design the stadium , using the 2nd one from the end , then see what the design will look like by pressing the end one which is future stadium , everytime you add something do this process to see that you are happy with the design , then save , like in the screen below , the program saves the stadium to the place called - my documents/tcm/stadium if you look there you will find your design .

then make a file in your tcm folder

going into user folder in your main tcm directory not the my docs one , and create a file called stadium , then copy your saved stadium into this folder , but the name must be the same as the club badge name in the editor

you will find this by running the editor

run the editor and then goto the country the clubs is in , so you will go to england for example , click on it , then all the clubs appear in a list , click on the club but only once , if you press twice , press ok in the bottom right corner , then press club settings , bottom centre , then a list of files appears , the second one is the badge file and in it is the badge name used by the program , it is not always the full club name , so check or it , it will not work if your stadium name is different to the badge name .

yeh we know were the editor is bt it wont work

THE MIGHTY 8TH
22-12-2003, 10:54:PM
what the editor for club player settings , or just when you create stadiums , or both ?

put myself and my brothers names in the game , works fine .

THE MIGHTY 8TH
22-12-2003, 11:06:PM
in the database i saved the changes to my own file

- i, e jasons players in the "eng" file - eng for english

, then wrote the changes to the game , for some reason if you do it this way it does not write over the default database , but does start using the eng folder file , your folder , and uses the changes you made in it , try it and let me know it is working for me .

champdave

Please use the edit button, it's there for a reason

The player editor seems to screw up for people with ****e computers. As does the stadium editor, I guess you need a good graphics card and a decent amount of ram.

178000 seats? The largest is 140000 . . .

i just want to say if it hasnt been asid that i am the new stadium builder for the TCM04 online website that will have the English Patch. when i get home tomora i will get pics of every stadium i hav done so far, i have done these:

Millenium Stadium, Cardiff
Kassam Stadium, Oxford
St James' Park, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
Portman Road, Ipswich
Home Park, Plymouth

I think i have made a few others but those are what i have done so far. and my season isnt really going well now:(

Ipswich Town(1yr 259d) Promotion to Premier League via Play-offs
SACKED(Reason-Lack of points)DONT LAUGH!

Moved to Denmark and overtook sum team BK i think they are.
Tried to save from relegation, FAILED! TERRIBLY!
Left at end of season and moved to England

Wigan Athletic, helped get back into division1 but lack of points near the end made me having to terminate my contract, me not the board

Left for Northampton Town

Struggling at the bottom of division2 but with 3 league wins in a row, 1 loss and another 2 wins means i am pulling away

Next match- Wigan Athletic v Northampton Town

Ada 2001
27-12-2003, 11:12:PM
ok i have the Millenium Stadium picture here for you, now as most of you know, one stand is two tier and still the roof is connected to the rest of the stadiums 3 tier stands. i cant find a better way then to put in 2 tier boxes at the back of the 2 tier stand so you will have to have it like this

THE MIGHTY 8TH

in the user folder in tcm , make a new file , and call it stadium , when you,ve made a new stadium in the editor , it saves it to my docs, tcm stadium , make a copy of the file and stick it in the tcm/user/stadium folder that you,ve created , make sure that the stadium name is the same as the badge name in the tcm editor

i.e astonvilla,s badge is called astonvil , not the full club name , so check the badge,s in the editor or they will not work .

so you name your new stadium the same as the badge , and when you play the new stadums are used .

Ada 2001
05-01-2004, 04:36:PM
infact i know alot about football, u r from scotland so u will prefer scottish football, i am from england, i prefer english football, ppl who like football r more likely to like football from their own nation then to like football from another nation. y do u think i hav been asked to be stadium builder? cos i kno alot about football, and seeing as it is ENGLISH MEGAPATCH! i dont see where RANGERS or Glasgow Celtic come in for England do you?

kickin_kyle
06-01-2004, 04:52:AM
Sorry for offending you, I was just a little pissed at the coment about the Rangers being the worst team in the world.

By the way I am actually not from Scotland and do not prefer Scottish football, I watch English premier league every saturday morning and whenever there is other matches on.

Since I live in Canada we dont get very many games on TV and must follow the game on the Internet, and I know some of you will say I know nothing about football because I'm from Canada, but that is simply not true.

And someday Canada will have a good national team...... someday

As an American I don't take offense at this, since it's true.

Americans like sports where there is drama and sports that come down to the final play of the game. They fail to see soccer (yes soccer, sorry) as an 'exciting' sport. They'd rather watch other sports that come down to the final play of the game - that have suspense. Sounds stupid, but it's true. With soccer, anything can happen at any time, but Americans would rather predict what's going to happen next and be right about it than watch the unpredictable.

However, there are a chunk of Americans who have seen the light... like me. However as a club sport I can see it succeeding in the USA only like ice hockey, as a second-tier sport with hard-core supporters (I don't consider hockey 2nd-tier but it is the poor end of the 'major' sports leagues. MLS is not a 'major' sport league in America.)

Ibrox and Celtic Park are among the best stadiums in the UK, certainly not crap. As buba3d sais they have been give 5 star ratings by UEFA.
@kickin_kyle- fear not mate. Ibrox, Parkhead and more have been made over at UKStadiums (http://www.ukfootballstadiums.co.uk/TCMSTADIUMS/tcm2004stadiumsscottish.htm).

For all the people looking for English league stadiums for their TCM they'll find a whole host of them there too.

it's true though, it's only a small minority of people in the USA who love soccer. It's attendance too, minor league baseball can't directly compare attendance on a level with English minor league soccer and we have a lot more people here in the USA

I think one of the biggest reasons for Americans not really liking soccer that much is that they are not exposed to it that well. If you look at the MLS its not a very strong league compared to the ones in Europe, and most of the really talented players go to Europe where soccer is the biggest sport with a large fanbase. So this means that the Americans are really exposed to the good teams and players. But with the new world club tour(or whatever its called) they get to see teams like AC Milan, Man U., Real Madrid, etc, and hopefully soccer will gain popularity in the States.

Well thats my veiw from the frozen tundra of Canada, where hockey rules all.

PS. You haven't played soccer until you've played it in 3 feet of snow, lol:rockman:

Ada 2001
09-01-2004, 04:56:AM
yeh sorry for that but as English ppl might agree with me, america isnt the best place to look for a gd football match. ENGERLAND is brilliant for football, u hav spain which has 5 teams and the rest r crap, like france they have 4. germany have 3, and italy have 6. but england is brilliant cos it is always suttin u dont know. for instance

Wimbledon premier league not long ago, relegation zone of division 1!(was feard team of england)

Sheffield Wednesday(premier league 1999) relegated last season to division 2.

Leeds United FC(3rd in premier league atleast 5 years ago) relegation zone of premier league

Ipswich town(finished 5th in premier league in 2000/2001 season) now 5th in division 1 after being bottom once.

just look at it, u r on about all that suspense, agree with me, with stuff like this, football, not american football, FOOTBALL is real, it is a dangerous game infact, it is such a great game to watch, when town score the song goes on DA DA DA! u know sheff utd supporters. y do u americans call ure rugby sorta game Football? u hardly use ure feet but u name a game where u hardly use ure hands as soccer and not football?

Fire Fan
09-01-2004, 04:57:AM
Yes it is getting more popular, however you have to also realize that the leagues in europe have been in existance since the turn of the 20th century and MLS has been in existance since 1994, 10yrs is a BIG difference

mlsmanager2002
09-01-2004, 05:19:AM
That type of suspense is totally foreign to most Americans, though. There is no promotion or relegation in ANY sport. American sport is a different type of sport than English sport. Americans rarely chant or sing (in professional sports), and in college sports (which England does not have) people only usually sing to their team's fight song.

The most suspenseful American game in the last two weeks in my humble opinion was an American Football game that went to overtime. The defense made a great play to win the game in sudden death.

Compare that to soccer, where good defense never wins you overtime games or much of anything.

However, the quality of American Soccer has greatly improved following the start of MLS and while 10 years and 110+ years make a big difference in league play, it's not bad. It's not EPL or Nationwide even, but a good MLS match is worth watching.

I don't understand where football came from, soccer though is an English term (asSOCiation football)

Fire Fan
09-01-2004, 09:55:AM
