Last term, he was almost unbeatable but this season, exposed by a weak defence containing Lorenzo Amoruso, he has not been able to maintain his excellence. I'll admit his job is easier than other goalies becuz he's got Terry and Gallas in front of him, but his ability to stop shots when the opposing team gets a shot off is amazing. However, now that the defense in front of has gotten worse (it wasn't exactly great last year), he has allowed a lot of goals. Behind the defense he has, Friedel can't really do much. Tim Howard doesn't have to do that much during a ManUre game because his defense is good.
