has anyone else noticed that about every shot on the CPUs goal from around the goal mouth are blocked by a defender...
it doesn't seem very realistic to me and a tad on the scripted side... i had situations with a wide open gap to the goal... i set my shot up, shoot and .. *cajunk*.. some CPU defender's leg out of nowhere blocking it away...
don't know, just my impression that this is a bit exaggerated...

It's not over the top IMO. The reason it seems so is because in PES2 not a single shot was ever blocked yet in PES3 it has become a lot harder to get a clean shot on goal, which is where the shot feint comes in handy, you have to really pass the ball around the opponents penalty area waiting for that gap to whip in a cross or have a shot at goal. I think it's realistic.

I think its good...want space to shoot: then dribble off an opponent or pass the ball around while holding the L1 button, this will make ur players make forward runs and create space...muaha back to practice:mrpimp:

This game is really difficult, i mean every defese is excellent, and its only when you score early that the game opens up ( like it should be )
But i dont think every team should be great defenders, but it is interesting when you have to think about how you attack instead of being direct.
For instance i like to work balls centrally, in around the D, with neat 1-2s. But i end up having to hit the ball long to adriano and winning the flicks. Or get the ball wide and swinging the ball in.

I think it's realistic. I played forward during my highschool years and I had MANY of my shots blocked...the only goals I scored came off of assists that broke up the defence.
