Does anyone know why FIFA 2000 and now Euro 2000 are not avalible on Nintendo? FIFA 99 and WC 98 for N64 were the best of the three systems and then nothing.

View Full Version : Why no N64? BelfastBoy 25-04-2000, 05:45:AM Does anyone know why FIFA 2000 and now Euro 2000 are not avalible on Nintendo? EA decided it is not worth the investment in footy games cross-platform in the U.S. It's the same reason all those excellent "management" style games are not available on U.S. game platforms (only European PAL). I have argued with guys on this forum about this before, unless you have a powerful P.C., Fifa 2000 is about as good as it gets over here in the U.S., if you want "fantasy/sim" soccer. BTW, EA's decision to drop Fifa from N64 forced me to purchase a Playstation. BASTARDS! The "surrrly" Duke Neutral 25-04-2000, 06:07:AM Not enough people were buying the N64 games (mostly Pokemon now) -a lot of companies have pulled out of N64 development because they don't sell enough units to cover the higher cost of developing on cartrige. If u have an N64 u should get ISS 98 Pro - it's the best version of the ISS 98 (but I understand the newest version ISS Evolution is better - and on PSX). Duke 25-04-2000, 06:36:AM Neutral, You have added important facts/problems with N64 marketing as well. I totally agree. But you still will not find many of the great footy games available overseas (like the CM series) here in the U.S. on Playstation. JRCruz09 26-04-2000, 06:00:AM FIFA99 was CRAP on N64!! |
