You need a super computer to play this game properly.Computers which we can say very good ( p4 2 ghz, gf 4) even have problems with this game.the patch makes some computers faster, some computers slower.Game is played well in mid pithc, slow downs in penalty box... etc. what's that? a kinda joke? Rockstar games ported vice city to computer, ea ported nfs series and they work great.why konami did such kinda s.hitty job? they're a good company. They should've made it better.I dont know if a new patch would solve all problems, it has to be so big to do so.Konami dont seem to worked on pc version much.even control options are shown with a ps2 controller.why konami? we could play demo so well, why not the GAME??!

Well my processor is only a 900Mhz Athlon and I'm running the game in 1024 with medium detail and it runs like a dream. I did however spend 4 nights of installing, un-installing, patching and tweeking - not what you want to be doing after buying a game.

Konami should have definately done more to optimize this game for the PC

Firstly - if you're unhappy email these guys kcet-info@kcet.konami.com - no point bitching at us.

Secondly - the game is running perfect at 1024x768 on my comp which definitely isn't a super computer, must be programmed ok as none of my other games will run at this resolution at a constant 60fps.

Thirdly - I can't believe so many people have bought decent processors, ram and motherboards and then go and cripple their system(from a gamer's perspective) by skimping on the video card. Any basic research about the Geforce4mx cards will tell you that they should not be labelled as a geforce 4(should still be called a directx7 geforce 2).

Konami should have, like other games, found a way to make the game passable in directx7 but with Directx9 games starting to appear, it's really time for people to upgrade their video cards or buy a games console.

lock your refresh rate to 60hz, the game only runs properly in 60hz in my experience.

And since the recommended spec calls for a GF3, 8500, or other DX 8.1 card, you don't meet it. Go blame Nvidia for ripping you off.

Having said that, make sure AA and AF are disabled, this game does not like them. Even on my system (3200XP, 512MB, 9800 Pro) I get slowdowns if I enable AA. It's because of the rendering method that is typically used in console games (HALO has exactly the same problem), they read data back from the video framebuffer which is a slow operation on all PC gfx cards, and even slower if AA is enabled.

MX doesnt even run some new games like Deus Ex 2 and Prince of Persia.
