Yeah, I heard it too, and I think it is hot. With Vieri and Ronaldo being so damn injury prone Batigol would be a great addition, also because of his experience. There have always been rumors regarding him going to Inter, so I think it will happen at least with 50% probability.
Recoba simply is not Lippi's player (as Baggio and del Piero were not; remeber he always loved playeing 2 big forwards: Vialli and Ravanelli, Boksic and Vieri then) - expect something BIG: IF Napoli makes it to the Serie A and IF that ******* Ferlaino really gives up half of the team, I see BOTH Baggio (100%) and Recoba (somewhat less chance to be honest) coming to play sotto il Vesuvio! Expect MANY teams to go after Recoba, who already said: play me or sell me.

Batistuta Targeted by Internazionale
By Sean Smith
"Former Manchester United target, Gabriel Batistuta, could be about to join Internazionale instead, according to Italian papers.
The sporting daily, Gazzetta dello Sport, intimated that the Fiorentina and Argentina legend will leave his club of nine years and join Serie A rivals Inter Milan.
Inter are expected to seek a striker in the close season to fill in for Brazilian Ronaldo, who will be out for the next eight months after rupturing a tendon in his right knee.
And the paper, in an unsourced report, said Batistuta's agent Settimio Aloisio would leave Argentina for Europe on Wednesday and would visit London and Madrid before coming to Italy."
Well .... since you guys are finished with my other topic, I just wanted to see what you thought of this. I know Soccernet never gets their "exclusives" right, but they did get the Van Nistelrooy one correct. And now that ManU is no longer seeking an active striker ... what do you think of this?? BatiGOL and Vieri up front? BatiGOL and Ronaldo up front? One of them is going to have to sit on the bench .... unless .... Inter plays with three strikers (Vieri, Ronaldo, and BatiGOL??) Damn scary. But, I do not think it is going to happen. I know that The Inter president is a free spender, but this is too short sighted. What will happen when Ronaldo comes back? What about Recoba? I know Baggio is leaving, and Inter needs midfielders and not another striker ... unless they are selling Recoba. Still ... you never know. Would be kinda INTEResting. (sorry .... not enough sleep) I'm out ..... laters.

Wait, Van Nistelrooy transfer has fallen through, United prepared to pay big for a big striker, Batistuta available... Hmmm, you don't think United would go after him, do you?
