View Full Version : How to maintain players' Fitness?
Waterwalker 04-12-2003, 01:41:AM Can anyone advice on how to maintain the players' Fitness?
After about 7 games, most of my players' Fitness are badly affected!
No matter how I reduce the training, their Fitness keeps falling! Help anyone?? :(
champdave 04-12-2003, 02:43:AM The god of cm0304 training is also the god of TCM training (H)
My advice is to make sure that the fitness sum on one day is +2, for example jogging/offside trap, or acceleration/pressing/tackling.
I'll give you a screenshot tomorrow, but stick to this advice! My players' fitness after pre-season was 89 (team average) and I am in March now and it is 85 (H)

champdave 06-12-2003, 04:58:AM You have gone eally wrong somewhere!
My players fitness after 13 matches is now 91 overall.
Group 1 Schedule:
Sun - S. Sprints, L. Sprints, Header
Mon - Jogging, Contain
Tue - Fri - S.Sprints, L.Sprints, Header
Sat - Match
(this group is for players learning accel/speed/header) As you can see, all days have +2 fitness.

Your training schedule would certainly improve the players' fitness quite abit. :)

Well, it kindof is, look at World Cup performances by fatigued sides. The only reason Germany got so far is that they got acclimatised and fit. (they were in Japan 4+ weeks before the tournament)
When I have a week with only a premiership match in my fitness increases, it stays the same when I have 2 matches. I hate the 3-match weeks though. Anyway, don't worry about steadily decreasing fitness over the season, it's natural. That's what the pre-season is for. A player is fit at the start of the season, and not-so-fit at the end. :)
ruud10 09-12-2003, 11:36:AM im struglling with the fitness thing to i cant even do a warm up in training now without 3 or 4 people dropping out :(

I' m letting Assistant to handle training and the average fitness is about 55%!!!. I the fitness points of his schedules and they are never less than +6. Why do I then have fitness problem?
mlsmanager2002 10-12-2003, 01:19:AM Same reason why the assistant can't manage the finances?!?
huknows 19-12-2003, 08:10:PM wad about other days other tahn monday, tuesday, saturday n sunday ? Can u all write out a table >?
ZeXeL 19-12-2003, 09:56:PM jus make ur own training plan to suit your team
huknows 19-12-2003, 10:33:PM i suxor at it !
They always say disadvantage of the team : Bad Manager
their fitness nv get over 50
ZeXeL 20-12-2003, 05:12:PM what does fatigue do to your team???
champdave 20-12-2003, 07:01:PM They are more tired so don't play as well. In general, I play players unless they have >70 fatigue or <40 fitness.
e.g. my group 1 is:
Sun- Jogging, Ind Skills, Ind Skills
Mon - Speed, Acceler, Dribbl
Tue - Speed, Acceler, Dribbl
Wed - Speed, Acceler, Dribbl
Thu - Speed, Acceler, Dribbl
Fri - Speed, Acceler, Dribbl
Sat - Jogging, Ind Skills, Ind Skills
I have +2 fitness every day, and the group is specialised for the people learning speed, acceleration and dribbling. Other groups are, e.g. Passing, Free Kicks, Jogging (+2 overall) for people learning passing/shooting/shot power/reflex/flying save etc.
My Liverpool team's fitness at the start of the 4th season was 98, and I just finished my Division 2 as Shrewsbury. (Promoted, FA Cup and European Cup :mrpimp: ) The fitness is currently 89, but I predict a 95+ before the first match of next season.
Good fitness training camps are the one in mexico, the german one (essechweiler or something) and the alps one.
