Rangers#50# 05-12-2003, 06:15:AM Its a great game and more fun than Champ Man 03/04 but if u want all your stats get champ. flamehawk 05-12-2003, 10:15:AM I dunno, I think both have their advantages and disadvantages. For CM, itz definetly the realism, the player database is huge and very accurated. Plus the tactics, 2d engine etc. are also very realistic. So is the transfer market, this is one thing I didnt like about TCM, I found it way too easy to buy players. Another is the attribute system, well for me anywayz. I think it'd be better if TCM reverted back to the old FAPLM/CM system where allt eh attributes were out of 20. It makes the player database more diverse and people would be able to tell the differences between players. But TCM is very innovated. I think the stadium editor is great, and the 3d engine is definetly improving. But the database is very poor, and sometimes it just doesnt feel like real life. Ken Wong 06-12-2003, 06:36:AM Personally, having tried my hand at both CM and TCM, I find CM impressively detailed, much more so than TCM where the players are concerned. IMHO Championship Manager is a better SIMULATION, because of its high degree of realism. However, TCM is a better GAME, because EA Sports somehow managed to strike a better balance between realism and fun. To play CM requires considerably more patience and planning, it seems. I would think that people looking for realism will go for CM, but casual gamers like me would enjoy TCM more since it's more user-friendly and entertaining (especially with the new 3D engine, whee!). champdave 07-12-2003, 04:26:AM THe people above have it exactly. I currently prefer TCM because it is fun and easy to play, CM's interface is a bit more complicated. The 3D is great, and building your dream squad is never easier. TCM is pretty cheap to as computer games go. |
