I think that it wouldn´t make it as interesting anymore if it would be every 2 years!

It would be good thing,but then there would be no time for EURO 2000 and such stuff like that.U just can't do it every 2 years.

I think it would take out the prestige of the world cup and it will diminish the value.I feel that every 4 years is good cause theres more hype.

Paolo_Rossi is right ..... what makes the world cup so special is that if you lose the cup, you sit and simmer and build up your frustration for FOUR LONG YEARS! It is the ONLY tournament that consistently lives up to its hype. well .... that and March Madness. If the idiot at FIFA changes it to every two years, the World Cup will lose a lot of its prestige. I would add a comparison, but there is no tournament like it.

Yes it was sepp blatter who said that and btw the crowds would get far smaller and there would be also less interest in the world cup

Every four years is good, just like the Olympics, if you had it every two years there would be no time for qualifiers, Euro cup, etc, it's just a plain bad idea.

I think that a world cup every 2 years would take all the excitement out of qualifying. It would make the world cup half as special because it would come up twice as much.

I agree with Fat Abbott you can't suddenly switch from four years to two years because you'd have to re-arange all the competitions like Euro 2000 and other highly anticipated competitions.

Stupid idea. Imagine trying to fit all the qualifiers into two years. Players would be playing even more games than they do now. I couldn't see any club allowing that to happen.

The World Cup should stay as it is, played every 4 years. It is undoubtedly the most exciting tournament in the world, sport or otherwise, and every world cup is special. Even though England (my country) weren't in USA '94, I still watched nearly all the matches (half of them at 23:30), not bad, saying as though I was only 12 at the time!
Everybody has special memories of the World Cup, and to play it every 2 years would indeed be to demean it.

Having the World Cup every two years would be just as bad as the current UEFA Champions League...there's no passion any more...just more money/prizes for the big teams..
