mark77 10-12-2003, 01:38:AM Good to know, thanks Stunna:rockman:
#1 Stunna 10-12-2003, 01:39:AM if this does happen we'll both enjoy watching a really good player...you with Juve and me with Mexico. (Y) :D
SB9Dragon 10-12-2003, 05:48:AM Juve owned Recoba?? Our Recoba?? I thought we bought him from one of the big teams in Uruguay??
northstar 10-12-2003, 05:50:AM Castillo was wicked in the match earlier in this years CL. We could see it happen I guess. We need to use the players we allready have better too though.
IceBlu 10-12-2003, 05:52:AM what position does he play in Midfield ?
#1 Stunna 10-12-2003, 05:53:AM unless i'm mistaken...i'm pretty sure he plays left forward.
IceBlu 10-12-2003, 05:54:AM oh... thats Nedveds position... and we need a quality backup for him. Makes sense.... there might be some truth to this.
eddy_87 10-12-2003, 05:58:AM backup Nedved eh....:ewan:

lol, hope he move to juve, it would be g8 :D :o
ManU2000 10-12-2003, 06:39:AM I've seen some of his highlights and he looks like a pretty solid player. If only Lavolpe would call him up. We could definitely use him up front. I think it would be a good investment on Juve's part. Maybe buy him and loan him out for a season or so. That's what they usually do anyway, right?

My bad. I was sure I read it in an old Hurra Juventus magazine and I had a look at it and it only said that they were interested in him when he was still in Uruguay.
someone sed he is playin for olympiakos from 2003 and after... Thats his 3rd season in the team :) So that means he playz there from 2001/02. Rite after Man Poo failed gettin him to their team. Giggs sed back then "this kid will become world class"

We already have, and so has Mexico, but he's refused both because he doesn't want to play with our youth team (JR wanted him for the Olympics) and I think he refused Mexico because he didn't want to play in a friendly and risk losing first team football at Olympiakos. Apparently he will only play if it's with the A team in official games.
Personally, Mexico can have him. We don't need more self-righteous players in our National team.

Very true Ruben I noticed in the WC that all of URUGUAY players wanted to do their own thing and that was not going to help at all. Personally I think thats why they did not succeed in the WC:confused: But we'll take him we dont think we are in the clouds yet we play as a team but get confused:confused: when it comes to completing plays/set pieces and all that crap
IceBlu 10-12-2003, 05:26:PM Mark, can u tell me the source you got this from ?

It may not be reliable but I heard it on the radio and here: Colpo Juve, ecco Castillo (http://www.ilnuovo.it/nuovo/foglia/0,1007,193298,00.html)

#1 Stunna 12-12-2003, 03:43:AM as of today...there are 2 clubs interested in Nery.
Juventus and Chivas (MEX)...and believe me, Chivas can match Juve's every penny. ;)

You got that right! Put it this way Chivas can pay even more of what Juve has to offer. That is why many players decide not to go anywhere else. I saw nerry play Inter (7-0) but they showed two clear goals one hit the "POST" and the other was taken back. He looks very healthy body type like Rafael Marquez but taller and looks very strong. Man! if Mexico doesn't get him I think will lose a good thing. prrrrttttt!
USA Juventini 12-12-2003, 09:22:PM As far as I know, Castillo has a wicked.......................................
Unibrow.
If the CL match that was played 2 days ago was an audition, then Castillo better learn to get comfortable on Moggi's "casting couch".
Blanco150 12-12-2003, 09:31:PM DUDE! Nery was on his own that night when I saw the highlights he was all alone! CHIVAS well assist him if he comes to us.
USA Juventini 12-12-2003, 09:33:PM Yeah, I know.
He looked like he was the only player for Olympiakos that was even worthy of being on the pitch.
I was just messing around, because of the Unibrow thing.
IceBlu 12-12-2003, 11:33:PM he actually did score against us.... although the goal was disallowed, i didn't think he was offside.
Blanco150 12-12-2003, 11:57:PM He even thougth it was a goal before he saw the side official calling him offside.:kader:
#1 Stunna 13-12-2003, 09:45:AM Acording to this mexican soccer website...they say that the Italian press are already confirming Castillo's transfer to Juventus.
http://www.tvazteca.com/deportes/futbolmexicano/2003/12/1270608.shtml
It says that its not certain when he will go play for Juve...either in Jan 2004 or summer 2004, since Zalayeta didnt want to go play for Olympiakos. If juve is able to send Zalayeta to Parma, who are interested in him, Castillo could start playing for Juve this January.
This transfer will cost Juve $4.8 million.
Finally a Mexican in Italy. :D :rockman:
IceBlu 13-12-2003, 09:50:AM nice ! (H) . The kid showed a lot of promise and has been in great form off late :) Looking forward to see what he can do for Juve :)
Blanco150 13-12-2003, 10:06:AM ;) Looking forward to seeing what he will do for MEXICO!:rockman: ;)
mark77 13-12-2003, 10:08:AM Is he that good? Better than Deco, Rosicky, Van der Vaart, D'Alessandro, Kaka, Diego............................................. ............................????????????
IceBlu 13-12-2003, 10:08:AM No :p
mark77 13-12-2003, 10:10:AM hahahahahah, so what the f*** are we taking him. We have Olivera:crazyboy:
IceBlu 13-12-2003, 10:11:AM we he has shown something that has obviously impressed Moggi and Lippi... so who knows.. He may be a handy player who could go on to be really good.
mark77 13-12-2003, 10:13:AM Yeah but I'm sure Inter will get him or something;)
djperthglory 13-12-2003, 11:05:AM lets hope we can welcome some more south american talent
id like to see lucio and this guy come to juve in the summer.
to be honest i feel we need 2 defenders and 1 midfielder to come in.

Crazy Mexicans, make up your minds! :crazyboy:

nah...we complain that people say Mexico is either from Central or South America. ;)
Ruben Sosa 13-12-2003, 11:50:AM But of course you're from Central America. We don't want you in the South, and you're not rich enough for the North. Where else are you going to be? ;) :p
This guy looked good when Juve played them in Greece. Djordjevic is their out and out star, but I have heard good things about him. They were playing him behind Giovanni. Mostly he is a left winger I am led to believe. I think this would be a smart purchase, but, he is possibly too talented to be a bench player, as Juve stocks are almost full. If Nedved goes, there would be many a hole though.

Blanco150 14-12-2003, 05:31:PM :rolleyes:Im glad we ain't both (Central or South) Cuz you guys frk'n suck Copa America we rule and Gold Cup we rule :rockman: Jaja...!!! Thank La Guerilla in Colombia or else we would of won. That's why we let Colombia win by the minimal score. :hump:
