Her commentary in the game, and that of Phil Shoen(sp?) is not good... I would have preferred John Motson and Andy Gray.

She is only on the American version, so people couldn't hate her for being an american because these people are also Americans. Atleast thats the way I understand it.

Mark Lawrencen was a bad choice to partner Motty an all.

I never heard the american commentator, but I have to say I'm not happy with the barzilian commentator...
He doesn't give us that heat and passion about the game... he just say obvious and stupid things, when in reality, he's one of the best of Brazil. I thing the sentences are awfully made by the americans...

Julie Foudy is terrible and Phil Schoen is worse. Nothing personal they just suck. I could deal with it if they were commentating on MLS GAMES ONLY but I have to say I prefer John Motson & Mark Lawrencen for international matches. And I'm an American. If the U.S. hadn't won the womens' world cup we probably would be talking about this so I guess we only have ourselves to blame, haha.

It has the lamest commentary of any game I've ever played.

YES IT IS THAT BAD!!!! The worst ever...Bad enough that I returned the game the same day I purchased it...That is saying a whole lot considering I pre-booked FIFA2K 3 months before it was released and considering FIFA99 was one of my favorite sports games of all time...Julie Foudy has no credentials to be a replacement for such a quality annoucer like Motty...So what, she played on the national team BIG F&%KING deal!! So does that mean we should expect commentary from Tim Duncan on NBA Live 2001?? Leave the annoucing to the announcer and leave the gameplay to the "players." It is sad to say that FIFA2K is now a distant memory for me and I prefer playing FIFA 99 hands down...Nice going EA of Canada...Way to be the first studio to digress the quality of a EA Sports title...PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING ON PS2 FOR FIFA '01...BRING BACK MOTTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so bad... it's painful sometimes. A football vetran; she may be, but this makes me feel like I'm playing in that dredful woman's world cup and reminds me of the time when America was living it up and feeling on top of the world (as always). I have found a UK patch from a German FIFA site but I'm not sure it works yet. I only download on weekends.

Hey, download this english commentary and tell me if this is the John Mottson you're looking for. The patch is on www.fifa.2000.megapage.de. It is in German but you don't have to know any to find the patch.

My opinion is the commentary in FIFA 2000 sucks no matter what version you have, English or American, because hardly anyones name is mentioned in this game. I mean once you hear a phrase repeated over and over they all become stupid, but what made 99 good was that it seemed like most of the players got mentioned in the play by play.
