I like Nirvana a lot, their two best albums are Nevermind and In Utero. After you buy those you might want to check the Unplugged in New York album.

I need some more posts I think, then I can buy

No you don't. Nirvana only has 4 studio albums and the two I mentioned are the best ones. Any music fan that knows Nirvana music will tell you that nevermind and In utero are the two best albums by them. You can ask anybody, there's a nirvana fan in the spanish forums and i'm sure he will tell you the same thing.

Don't forget their greatest hits album, which has "you know you're right"

I forgot the names of the other 2 independent albums they released.

The greatest hits album is wicked! :rockman:

The other two albums are "Bleach" (their first album) which is the heaviest Nirvana album, the sound of the guitar is similar to a chainsaw, but it defines raw in the sound of the group and introduces the most grunge stuff too.

The other one is Incesticide, I don't know much about it since I don't have it,but i;m sure it's a pretty solid album

Nirvana's albums are Bleach, Nevermind, Incesticide, In Utero, Unplugged in NY, From The Muddy Banks Of The Wiskah and Nirvana (Greatest Hits).

Personally I really like Nevermind and In Utero as a whole, but Bleach and Incesticide have got some good songs as well. Unplugged is magical. And The Wishkah captures Nirvana's live power. But the true Nirvana fan can't do without Nevermind and In Utero. ;)

From the Muddy Banks, is a live album I believe.

Nevermind and In Utero are indeed the best albums, but if you like Nirvana or music in general you HAVE to buy Nirvana Unplugged Live in New York. It's a masterpiece.

Incesticide is an album of B-Sides, covers and other ****, like TV recordings for the BBC and dutch VPRO. It's a bit of a weird album if you ask me. I have got it but I suggest you just download some songs before buying any album.

Nevermind.

Has anyone else seen them live? I saw them in 1992, about six months after Nevermind came out. Great concert. They played every song off Nevermind, and 2/3's of Bleach.

Personally, i cant split Nirvana's Nevermind, In Utero, Bleach and Unplugged in NY. I enjoy all of them for different reasons.

I wasnt too keen on Incesticide, although it had a few good songs like, Dive, Sliver, Aneurysm, and maybe a couple of others.

Muddy Banks of the Wishkah was cool as well i suppose because it gave listeners an insight to what Nirvana sounded like live, for those who hadn't seen Nirvana live after Kurt had passed on.

The lastest CD with 'You know you're right' on it, which is a best of, i wont and will not get. Simply because i have all the songs on the featured albums in the first paragraph, and i dont believe you can fit all their best songs onto 1 cd. Its just not justifiable dammit! ;)

I haven't really heard many of their songs but one that I do like is "In Bloom". There is also a street near me called Nirvana Avenue and a few years ago people always used to steal the street signs. Now they just have a wooden post in the ground that says Nirvana Ave. on it. :D

Same reason I didn't buy Sublime's Greatest Hits. The albums as wholes are such masterpieces, they shouldn't be seperated and disected.

Everyone who likes watching NIrvana should go on KAzaa and download the Nirvana live n loud, recorded by MTV. Great set list and they sounded awesome that night. If you're lcuky you can also find some bootlegs on Kazaa, I have three VCD's of Nirvana concerts. Great.

if to choose two of them i would recomend nevermind and in utero. if you also like acoustic side of them then unplugged should not be overlooked. i wouldnt bother with the greatest hits. it only has the songs from the studio albums and unplugged on it plus "you know your right"

I did the same thing :p that MTV concert was awesome. I also downloaded the unplugged from kazaa and made a vcd along with all their videoclips. I'm doing this because for some reason there a no f*****g Nirvana DVDs on sale!! :f***:

I searched everywhere, and i'm gonna have to import the live!tonight! solout! DVD from Brazil because they don't have it in the US anywhere!! :(

I did the same thing with the Guns N Roses Use your Illusion tour in Tokyo, I had to import the DVDs from Brazil, because they didn't have the concert in the US....until some couple weeks back :|

yeah and also the Unplugged from New York. I loved the Meat Puppets covers Kurt did and of course "the man who sold the world" it's an amazingly beatiful song (makes me sad when I listen it :( )
