GOONERBHOY 18-11-1999, 03:06:AM 1 - 0 eh, no F@cking bad.
Anyway can you explain to me exactly what the sfa is doing with the premiership next season.
It sounds like were gonna have 12 teams and halfway through the season the top 6 break away from the bottom 6 and they play separate competitons the top playing for the championship and european spots while the bottom fight relegation, is this true?
Up the Celt`s
Onya Scotland
I heard there was going to be 12 teams but that is the first I've heard about splitting the Div.
Interesting, but odd.
Maybe the SFA has a website.....hmmm maybe not, they're still living in the dark ages!
GOONERBHOY 18-11-1999, 03:27:AM They do have a site but it hasn`t been updated since france 98.
PS:what country are you living in mark ?

No update since France 98/ There's a surprise!
I'm in Sydney, Australia.
You?
GOONERBHOY 18-11-1999, 03:39:AM Thought you must live in australia cause it would be a late night if you wearn`t.
I too am in australia but in QLD at Southport (Gold Coast).
Origionally Edinburgh though.
Yeah, It's daytime and I should be working so I'd better piss off for a while.
I'm from Ayr origonally.
DirkDiggler 18-11-1999, 07:00:AM I had heard about the 12 teams and splitting the top and bottom. I just want to know how their doing promotion and relegation this season. 3 up 1 down?
Fluffy 18-11-1999, 03:10:PM It is supposed to be 3 up 1 down, but only if the top 3 first division teams have 10000 seater stadiums.
If not then Aberdeen will be saved!
DirkDiggler 18-11-1999, 05:18:PM Why the **** do Falkirk need a 10000 stadium? ****'s sake that's 1/7 of the population. I don't think they'll be able to fill that. Another stupid decision by the SPL.
What the hell has happened to my beloved Aberdeen ?
Im stuck down here in New Zealand completely baffled
Mike
DirkDiggler 19-11-1999, 04:25:AM When you let your players spend too much time out in the pastures, gameplay is bound to be affected.
Inter Milan USA 19-11-1999, 04:48:AM the Swiss League has a similar format, 12 teams start, everyteam plays eachother twice, after that, the bottom four take on the top 4 from the lower division in a turnoment while the top 8 start up a championship among themselves
Fluffy 19-11-1999, 10:30:AM This SPL rulling means that Falkirk and Ayr Utd can not enter the premier league. I know Ayr can't build a new stadium because they can't get planning permission. Falkirk I guess are just skint!!
It means that even Livingston can get promotion, but not the better team on Falkirk, crazy man!!
As for Aberdeen, they've been on a steady spiral down hill ever since Sir Alex left for pastures new!!
Fat Bhoy Tim 19-11-1999, 10:40:AM Aberdeen are currently being poked from behind by all and sundry.
0-1
LMFAO
Stuart Gillespie 19-11-1999, 11:17:PM Any chance anyone can make a patch to put St. Mirren in the Scottish premiership?
Stuart Gillespie 19-11-1999, 11:17:PM St. Mirren will walk the First division this season. Up the Saints!
Penfold 20-11-1999, 06:20:AM Does any one have updated kits for the SPL?
DirkDiggler 20-11-1999, 05:42:PM Yes, Falkirk are skint. I think they have their stadium planned out they just can't build it.
celtic fc 20-11-1999, 08:41:PM Now I dont say this very often but celtic where crap today, they where lucky to come away with all three points.Great goal from Moravcik.
Jim Beam 20-11-1999, 11:01:PM Another win for the Saints, get ready prem. cos here they come.
GOONERBHOY 22-11-1999, 07:18:AM Eoin Jess is the only player worth watching at aberdeen, that`s the problem, he obviously spends limited time with the sheep GET HIM IN THE NATIONAL TEAM!!
