I have the following problem: Sometimes when I have run FIFA 2000 (Greek) and started ok and chosen a team and chosen side with my Joypad (MS Sidewinder Freestyle Pro) it appears to be loading and when 1/10 of bar is full i get kicked out of FIFA 2000 and a message is displayed "|>>|+-EIE-" or something like that (A person with the same configuration as me and an ENG Fifa 2000 said he got a "Device Error" message.) Also when sometimes while playing i get kicked out of the game without warning and when i go to run FIFA 2000 again I get :
TIMER_init - FAILED TO INITIALIZE WINDOWS MULTIMEDIA TIMER, TRY RE-RUNNING. My configuration is:
PII 350MHz overclocked to 466MHz
128 MB SDRAM / 100 MHz
HITACHI GD-2500 DVD-ROM 6x/24x firmware 0012
Creative Live! Value Liveware 3.0
Diamond Viper 550 (NVIDIA RIVA TNT) Detonator drivers 3.53
QUANTUM FIREBALL 10,2GB EX
DIRECT X 7.0

Thanks In Advance

I can't even launch FIFA2000 without getting those errors(if I get any at all that is).

I'm running a PIII500 with a Gigabyte2000 Motherboard. I tried using both a ASUS RivaTNT2 and an ASUS Banshee 3dFX with no luck.

I downloaded the latest detonater drivers (4.x) and DirectX 7. Reinstalled Windows etc.

I can run Fifa97, RTWC, World Cup 98, Fifa 99 but NOT Fifa2000.

How cruel is that?

I have the problem too, but sorry, i don't know how to repair it.

Maybe Ric know it... They've said you must download Detonator 3.53, i have done, but it doesn't work on my computer.
My computer is:
PIII 450
64 MB SD-RAM 100 MHz
8,4 GB Quantum Fireball
Diamond Viper V550 (THE BIG PROBLEM)
MS Windows 98 SE
DirectX 7.0

I'd like to say to anyone:
If you like to play FIFA 2000, don't by a Diamond Viper V550 graphics card!

IT DOESN'T WORK...

I'll hope EA will make a patch soon, who repairs all these problems!!!

Otherwise I don't buy a EA game again!

Does anyone of you with Viper 550 got a HP ScanJet 5P?
It might be the cause of all troubles.
