Ok im on my 5th and last year with Real Madrid, i have made a super team, with everyone from Maldini to RVN on the team, so i wanted to buy Totti and Davids to finish the team, i got Davids for only 20 mill....but i couldnt get Totti at all, i offered 40 mill, the max you can spend on a player, and still nothing, i got him at Arsenal for only 17 mill my first year....yet i cant get him for 40...what the hell is going on??

maybe he dun like real madrid.. or you find some1 else instead..

You should consider other players. Like Pablo Aimar at 87skill.

the game is made kinda random in that some players are more difficult to buy in some careers compared to others - no matter what the offer you make

this is actually a good feature if you ask me because it makes some players unable to be purchased. eg - like raul in real life, or giggs, henry

i like this - very nice - adds realism

well we can than for EA for (probably accidental) for adding some realism in the game..........LMAO

I got Totti in Real Madrid in my first year in the career mode. I guess they make it harder to buy players the farther you go into the career.

David James for West Ham (Div1) is valued at just 0.9 million pounds yet I cant get him for 7.3 million pounds. Wierd Huh. Im playing as Charlton btw.

If a team only has 2 goalkeepers you can't buy them, as a team needs at least 2. I don't know about West Ham, but I reckon it's the same problem there. EG Juve only have 2 goalies, so you can unfortunately never buy Buffon.
Tip: Roma have 3 goalkeepers, Pelizzoli has skill 79 and is worth appr. 3 million, Lupatelli has skill 72 and is worth about E 2 million. So if you need a not too expensive and good goalie, they're both good choices!!!!

when is the transfer window open.. my game was copied so i never got a manual for it.. is it open midseason or just 10 weeks at the start of the new season?

Immediately after your last game in 1 season 'til september (september not included), this is about 10,11 weeks, if I'm not mistaken. A little annoying is that you can only save BEFORE playing a game, so after 1 season you get your options (transfer/training etc) mode and you have to go on 8 weeks 'til the season kicks-off before you can save! I wanted to switch of my computer but couldn't save & I really wanted to spend some time searching for players and not just click OK devery week!
During the complete month of January the transfer-window is open as well, to return to the question.

Oh ok.. English Peeps i won the FA cup with southend United in my first season on Pro level.. I had some solid away games. Including Man Utd n Leeds. I know some of you beat the PC on World Class but it is still Good!!
