View Full Version : Whats up with Liverpool?
X-Ter 25-12-2003, 02:59:AM I've always known Liverpool to be a team that does generally good in the Premiership but I feel that this season they are under-achieving
So what do you think? Is it their manager or is it simply their players?
tottiiii 25-12-2003, 03:00:AM Manager and Injuries i believe....but i didnt think they could WIN the EPL...expected them to get at least that 4th spot
ogsimon 25-12-2003, 05:11:AM There defence is alarmingly slow. Injuries to key players. They are not clinical enough in front of. Goal their two best players have been out recently
Baros and Cheyrou
Budge 25-12-2003, 03:47:PM no but u cant forget that emily has played a lot recently...so we SHOULD be at the top...:crazyboy:
alexandros 25-12-2003, 03:56:PM As a Liverpool fan for ages,it hurts me to admit it,but unfortunately it's true. We are sort of players with real class, apart from Owen,Gerrard and Kewell, there's practically no other player to get going when the going gets tough(to use a yank expression). Some very good and talented players(e.g. Pongolle, Otsemobor etc.) but still too young to carry the team on their shoulders. Liverpool need players with class, not just some committed,hard-working but just decent footballers.
2 points from the past 5 premiership games... :kader: :kader:
sack houligan and sell emily
edit: we just need carragher back
Fernandez 25-12-2003, 04:11:PM heskey is the third top goalscorer for liverpool for league :brow:
mhflierman 25-12-2003, 04:20:PM I can't understand why everybody's always flaming Heskey and blaming him for the misery at LFC. OK, he's been unlucky in his actions now and then, or maybe all the time, but I've also seen pretty good things from him. And to blame him for Liverpool's ****e football is too easy. Solutions like "Sell Heskey and fire Houllier" are just too easy, like that would turn the tide.
Liverpool lack goalscoring abilities, and their once rock solid defence isn't rock solid at all anymore. I'd fire Houllier as well, but because he has failed at the club. Spending loads of cash but not really getting results. And with the prospect of Owen and Gerrard leaving because they, understandibly, want to play CL football, I think the board needs to act and show the team, the fans that they are working hard to change things around.
Right now it must feel for all Liverpool fans like an ongoing misery without any signs of changes for the better. It's not what a club like Liverpool should be about.

Zidane420 27-12-2003, 01:28:AM What about Diouf, isn't he still in the first 11.
LYON HEART 27-12-2003, 01:32:AM ...i think the Liverpool problem is not have some Man Utd players such as Cris.Ronaldo, Xoules, RIO Fernando, giggs,Vieira, and Ljunberg. With those guys+Michael Owen, Liverpool could reach 4th place in the League

yeah, hes far better than last season now that hes playing on thr right wing, he hasnt got the british, strength mentality to play centre or in attack. Wing is perfect for him.
I see pongolle scored today, good good.
TROD.
