There are at least twenty-thirty footballers in the Premiership that are more skilled than either of the two.

People seem to think that "skill" automatically refers to stepovers and fancy footwork - because it isn't. Technique and overall footballing ability is skill.

rooney does have some skill. but of the two, i think ronaldo is a bit more polished, which isn't saying much since he still has a way to go. but they're both still very raw.

What bout Malbranque, Okocha,Juninho, Laurent Robert or Kanoute??

Rooney has more shooting skills while Ronaldo is better at ball controlling skills

What a lame comparison. Who's more skillfull Keown or Real's Ronaldo? Rooney isn't skillfull at all. Cris Ronaldo may be skillfull, but he doesn't use it too effectively yet. He played well against Everton though. But he should get more out of his trickery and play the ball earlier.
